I like both, I tend to love both British and American humour, though I prefer the less mainstream American stuff. I can't stand Two and a Half Men. We get it, the kid's retarded.

Favourite moment in the American version has to be anything featuring Creed or Dwight. I also love Oscar, about time a show featured a gay guy that isn't a lisping stereotype in a designer jacket.

Granted that pretty much describes me, but hey, I don't like me, why would I like characters who are like me?

I love the British version, absolute slice of comedy gold in my opinion. I don't think I could stomach the US version, it just doesn't convey the realism that the UK version does, at least not to me as a British viewer, and David Brent's character is so unique to Ricky Gervais that it seems silly to have all these other versions.
I have to say I just 'get' Ricky Gervais' comedy, but I know there's still a lot of people who don't. It's not an elitist thing, I'm just saying if some people are laughing and some aren't, whatever way you look at it the latter group aren't 'getting it'. I'll admit it wears a bit thin in the recent films he's done like Night at the Museum, Stardust... Ghost Town looked none too special either, but to me that's only because the characters in there are what he's like normally - you see him in interviews or as a guest on some show and he's constantly making witty remarks and observations it's hard for the presenters to keep up. That I find great.

Meh...the British version is superior. Vastly. At least the American version as Steve Carrel(I think it's him.), I liked when he was on The Daily Show.

Isn't Ricky Gervais on the British version? I only saw his show on GTA IV. It was pretty funny.. even though it's British comedy. I can't get into British comedy for some reason... is it because most American comedians make really stupid jokes to make their really stupid audience laugh?

Ricky Gervais helps with the American version as well.
And yes it is Steve Carell, he's awesome.

I like when Jim and Pam are driving to Dwight's B&B and Mose comes out of nowhere and runs faster than the car. Epic Random Lolz

Can't speak for the British version but the American version is incredibly bad. I don't find people being awkward funny.

You're asking about the American version? Because in England we had 'A Night at the Office', where they show all episodes of the first series and interviews with people. Hmm...

I hate the UK version of the Office. I don't care if it's the original, I hate Gervais and can't stand any of the other characters. The US version works a lot better for me.
Now The IT Crowd, that's a great British office comedy.
