This is all Yahtzee's fault for recommending "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet at the end of the last ZP (the song totally rocks, incidentally).

This is not a thread for recommending great songs. It is a thread for recommending songs that make for great gameplay on Audiosurf. Describe the track and how it plays out in the game when you make your recommendations.

If a bumpy, bouncy ride is what you want, Devo's cover of "Head Like A Hole" has your ticket. I just played it and it gave me the inspiration to start this thread.

Badlands from Tribrs 2, Everybody's Free, Ride the Lightning, Fight Fire with Fire, Mr. Maniac, Dethklok Theme Song, Mechanic Creation, Deserted Industry: there's more I'll look into. From what I remember, they are all pretty bouncy, with some sharp drops and turns, some quick speed ups and slow-downs. Pretty fun if you want something kinda intense.

my favorite has been Sector Sweep on the orange box soundtrack. Its fairly bouncy, and it just sounds so trippy.

It upsets me when this is one of the most played songs in the game.

Here In Your Arms by HelloGoodbye, brilliant launch into the chorus and a massive downslope.
Time to Waste by Alkaline Trio, good slow opening before launching into the song.
Red Flag by Billy Talent, just relentless.
War of the Worlds by Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, changes pace completely in the middle.

Also, play Still Alive if you haven't already. It makes a surprisingly good level.

I completely agree with you. I found that a lot of alkaline trio is good, probably because half of it is quite fast paced. And its annoying that through the fire and the flames is the first song a lot of my friends played, probably due to the influence of guitar hero.

In brief, anything made in the 60's will do the trick for a trippy session of surfing that audio.
Jimi Hendrix - Fire/Purple Haze
Jefferson Airplane - Somebody to Love

Try some Reggae on Audiosurf for a nice relaxing ride with the occasional nasty blind drop.

Or if your a masochist go for the old deathmetal.

Los Campesinos - You! Me! Dancing!
Wilco - Misunderstood
Modest Mouse - Float On

I like Pusher mode more than Ninja, but those songs are good for both.

Pink and Blue - Outkast

Most of the song is boring but the start is pure audiosurfing awesomeness.

Mirror Kissers by The Cribs, nice and fast with some perfect smooth increases at the fuller parts of the song.

Edit: Just played it again and spotted it's got a great bumpy bit in the middle as well. I also spotted that I hold the world best scores in all 3 difficulties for it :p

Edit2: Only tossers use mono.

Another thing about Audiosurf, if you've not tried the freeride mode give it a go just once to see how fast the game can really take things.

Darude - Sandstorm (yes i know 90s dance tracks are lame, it surprised me too, but it makes for a great track aesthetically, cool bumps during chorus sections)

I would also like to add:

Heaven and Hell by The Who - The Live at Leeds version is amazing. RIP Keith.
Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult - The solo is fairly nice. Downhill and fast.
Radar Love by Golden Earring - Smooth, easy ride at some points, and fast, intense at others.

Not recommended:
YYZ by Rush - The studio version is all uphill.
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly - Again, all uphill. And uphill for 17 minutes is kinda boring. You might be able to unlock all the stealth achievements with it, though.
