Skateboarding has some of my best memories. My friend and I used to go out in our sister small towns at three or four AM and just break ourselves off over whatever gaps we could find. He kept a homemade rail in his car that we used when we weren't at the local seven-stair rail--good times. We were pretty good (I suppose), but never really went after sponsorship because we were having fun and didn't want to make business out of it.

I think the most fun thing was building a looong box, putting it down a ditch, and doing lips/blunts down it in the rain. Ha, I sound like a jaded old fool.

Wait, this is an official thread, even though it was created by a new member? That boggles my mind.

On topic: I suck but I enjoy it. I like flat open spaces, grounded tricks and the like.

I skateboard a lil', my best trick is (sadly) fakie shuv-it's or fakie kickflips. But my main focus is inline....yep. I can do a hell of a lot on skates.

At the park I go to, it's the fuckin' bmx-ers that piss me off, they'll camp on the half-pipe for half an hour, but when you roll over there, they drop in just to be dicks.

My expertise is 'Get on board' and 'Get off board'. I have yet to 'Move' on a skateboard, unless you count going down a hill whilst laying down. Shame I was five when I did that, and also a shame I didn't know the incline went on for over half a mile and eventually moved through busy traffic.

"That was the first time I died."
