Overall fun campaign, tho I found the mission variety a little lackluster. There's infantry combat, infantry combat but in zero g, and space dogfighting. Which are fin, but I would've maybe liked a dedicated sniping mission, or an infiltration, or high lethality really close quarters combat, or a mission where you directly control one of those big bots. I remember one sort of stealth mission, but breaking stealth just seemed to turn the mission into one regular combat. And one hostage rescue one, but as a secondary objective, so it didn't feel like failing to free the hostages would have any real effect on the mission.

About the same, but the lack of a dedicated sniping mission didn't bother me much.

He wakes up as if having slayed a colossus in the beginning of the demo, even though the demoed colossus is the first one from the game.

Agro's hair is more unwieldy, but maybe it's the emulator.

You can swing your sword while standing on Agro, a feature understandably removed from the retail version.

The forest to the right of the first colossus is blocked off by a wall.

Most of the bridges are cut.

A save shrine.

When I got closer, it disappeared.

Until all that was left was the totem.

When I prayed, the screen went black and the demo restarted.

I died. Game Over. When I continued, the floor took a moment to render.

I then went and killed the colossus, which was the same as in retail. I was rewarded with a majestic super blurry trailer.

"Arms" is written on the HUD. You cannot be unarmed, meaning you can't pat Agro. You have to hold the bow or sword.

I played this demo several times twenty years ago. I kept trying to remember what riding move could be done in the demo and not the game. I think it was just swinging the sword while standing.

Oh, and you cannot steer Agro while standing on the saddle.

The other day I was on a train when the Internet connection went out, and the Microsoft Edge web browser suggested that I'd might to play the in-browser game Edge Surf.

Playing it reminded me of SkiFree, a game that was part of the Mircosoft Entertainment Pack from the 90's, since it has a mode selection and the main mode consists of surfing until you inevitably get eaten by a giant octopus, like how you in SkiFree inevitably get eaten by The Abominable Snowman.

Playing around in the speed mode made me realize that the game was made with SkiFree in mind, since its player character and the aforementioned Abominable Snowman can be seen chilling in the game.
