Holy crap... how much space is this going to take up on my hard drive? Oblivion is the closest comparison I can think of in terms of voiced NPCs, and that took up 4.6 GB. Of course, that was back in 2006, and games have got a lot bigger since then. I think I saw somewhere that Dragon Age would take up 10+ GB, so I don't even want to think about how much space this would take up.

This is one of the few MMOs I'm actually interested in, and it looks like it's going to be good. Having it fully-voiced would add a hell of a lot to the experience, but I'm a little concerned that BioWare are biting off more than they can chew with this one.
Probably anywhere from 10-20

Yeesh. All that dialogue, and non-linear..
It's giving me a headache just thinking about it..I mean..It's not making the one I already have any better.
All this effort could have been harnessed to make 3 amazing games, all set in different universes.
Oh well..Whatever sells, I guess.

Why exactly did Max get suspended? It was a pretty innocuous post..

Back on topic: Wouldn't it be funny if this thing tanked? In a horrible way, I mean.

Does this mean everyone will speak english? I'm very confused what they are going to do about non-English speaking nations.

Also for those Star Wars only languages, I just hope a wookie wont grunt at me for half the game because it made me somewhat desire to end all wookie life in KotOR 1.

The only problem I can see with this is that it's a MMO, not that all MMos are inherently bad but I haven't really seen one that has broken the WoW formula of kill fluffy creatures all too much and actually [i/]survived[/i]. Write me down for one of the "I told you so" people when this turns out to be just like any other MMO, on the other hand if it turns out to be an orgasmic game of god, then the I expect someone to PM saying "I told you so". Because fair is fair.

This game just might live up to the hype. Honestly, I wasn't interested at first but this seems like it's getting better and better. Actually, I think that this could work out. They know how much gamers hate reading...

So long as its not MOSTLY dialogue (as in... it better be balanced by heaps of gameplay), and the dialogue isn't presented in boring, non-immersive text boxes that most people will skip over, it should be good... not to mention that having that much non-linear dialogue should (hopefully) give it huge replayability so we don't get bored and skip all the conversations just to get back to the fighting (my 3rd or 4th time through KOTORs I & II)

the article says they used actors from other countries: "There have been hundreds of voice actors on the project, who have recorded in cities around the world."

I'm guessing if your based in Brazil, you'll probably not be listening to english in-game.

If this is as good as the hype, I'll be a happy man.

If the script is the size of 10 KoToRs, surely that implies that the game will contain an equal amount of gameplay? This is gonna be good.
my prediction upon first hearing of this MMO was Bioware declared bankruptcy. this just further compunds my prediction as everyone is going to want a larger cut then they will get. sometimes things sound great on paper, but this is in the same trough as the ghostbusters game.
great concept=/=great game. we are not talking something developed by Blizzard where they can take boring concept and turn it into the gaming equivalent of crack cocaine. this is not a company that appeared in a time when games earned their place of legend, this is a time when games just get a massive check slipped in the manual when sent to game reveiwers. the games Starcraft, Diablo 1&2, and Warcrafts 2, 3, and WoW all have earned their place.

That's pretty damn awesome. Full voice acting is a tremendous task to undertake, but if it works then it can only be a good thing. I'm looking forward to this a lot now, and I've never wanted to play an MMO before now (apart from FF XI, but that's different, I'm an FF nut anyway).

WoW is 18 gigabytes at the moment.
