So, The Old Republic has been out in the US for a few days now, and it seems to me thats enough time to create a few good stories.
What have you run into, any opinions that may differ from the norm, but mostly the cool quests and adventures that populate every MMO.

I love the options. Most every quest can have multiple endings. There are some that don't, but they are few and far between. Here are a few examples from my beta experience and actual play time.

A simple group quest to disable an enemy generator? Before you can deactivate it, a refugee arrives to explain that it is their only source of power. They need it. Will you deactivate it or leave it running?

Trying to find a kidnapped young man? Turns out he was taken to act as a translator for a Flesh Raider that believes it has Force powers and won't let him go unless you help it. What will you do?

A senator needs you to pick up some of his stolen cargo. Turns out that cargo is for slavers. Will you turn that into the Senator or the authorities?

You need to kill your master's spy that has been deep undercover in the Republic. But also his son. Will you kill the cowardly boy, or take the option to completely erase his memory? And what will you tell his father when he asks?

A Senator asks you to put a stop to a local crime Syndicate. Only while doing so, you discover that they helped to elect her by funding her campaign. What will you do? Confront her? Destroy the Evidence? Blackmail her?

A Republic family is missing their son in the Empire. They have placed a Bounty on his head for his safe return. It's part of your test for the Great Hunt, but when you catch up, you find that an Imperial Noblewoman has pretty much taken him as her lover, something that he was willing to do at first. When she learns that you are here for him, she asks you to kill him. What will you do? Kill him? Kill her? Or freeze him with a gadget for safe transport?

This game has no shortage of stories and outcomes. It's also fun to flirt with everything you can.

Hey do you know if there are consequences if you are a Jedi flirting with everything? I should have tried it when I was in the beta but now its too late for that.

Hey, a quick question - how does skipping conversations work in a group? Say I'm doing a Flashpoint (or whatever they're called) for the first time, while the other members of my party have done it before. I want to see the conversations and the story, they just want to skip forward to the loot (which I might decide to do myself in subsequent runs). How is this handled? Is it a vote? Do I get to watch the cutscenes while they wait for me to finish? Are they unskippable? I don't have the game, I was just wondering.

You can skip through it, but you'll have to wait for everyone else to get through it/skip it.

It is my understanding that for Jedi, seeking romances is a Dark Side option. This is because Jedi are forbidden romances. Now, I can't speak about romances with other NPCs, but there are generally a few of your companions that you can romance. I hear that if you romance two of them, they will eventually confront you and force you to choose between them. And on a recent planet, I met with a Sith Lord who was the new governor of the planet and flirted with her every chance I got until it ended about where you expect. There were some bonus missions after completing my story missions I did, and before I left the planet she kissed me on the cheek to say good bye. Was this because I flirted with her the whole time, or just because I flirted with her in that conversation, I don't know. Still fun.

It's worth noting that your companions pay attention to what you say in dialog. Even the "minor" things you say while talking to NPCs will affect your companions affection with you. Each one has their own likes and dislikes. For example, I currently have two companions on my Sith Warrior. One generally likes Light Side options, treasure and getting paid, anti-authority behavior, and protecting the weak, while disliking bullying, killing innocents, and suck ups. The other likes patriotism towards the Empire, rewarding hard work, and honor, while disliking irrational behavior, betrayal, and selfishness. Each one is unique in that way, and you would be wise to read their codex entries if you want to take advantage of dialog or at least understand why they like and dislike certain actions.

Pressing Space Bar skips whole lines of dialog and even cut-scenes. You'll still have to wait until the others catch up.

Bioware has neither offered a free-to-play version of the game nor servers for gamers in Asia, so right now I can't lay a hand on that game.
Besides, the last thing I'd want to do is screw up my High School senior year by getting addicted to an MMO. I've kept away from WoW due to its addictiveness; don't know how long I can resist this.
Trust me bud, stay well away from it. Wow has ruined many a college/ high school degree.
