I know it exist for download from steam but can't I just get the old box set anywhere. I really am not confortable downloading something so big with my internet connection and if I did i would want to be able to play it of two different computers, but would that be possible.

If you do download The Orange Box for the Mac, you'll only be able to play Portal and Team Fortress 2, you'll be missing out on the gold that is Half-Life.

But for the box set: I found it in my local GameStop, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc. no problem.

Yes, you can play the game on two different computers, but mind you it's tedious as all hell. And you can't play it simulataneously without a second Steam account and a second Orange Box.

But really, Team Fortress 2's where it's at, but I'd suggest waiting until Valve makes Half-Life games Mac-compatible.

Half-Life 2 runs fine on my Mac, and I got it as part of the "Orange Box". No reason to hold-off if you're concerned that you can't play Half-Life 2.

Steam does its own download managing, and is quite good at it, meaning that even if you're connected via 56k modem illegitimately wired to a pay-phone that you can only use 20 minutes a day, you're quite unlikely to end up with any canceled or corrupted files.
