A little bit ago I posted an Oscar Thread on the predictions for the nominees. Sad to say most of my hopes were not brought to fruition.
BUT, I'm still going to make the obligatory prediction thread, even if it has been done on MovieBob's comments page on his latest video.
So, just post your predictions or who ever you'd like to win. It doesn't have to be all the categories, though. Just as many as you please.

Another thing: You can post who you'd like to win along side who you think will win.

-Best Film-

King's Speech is probably going to win, I think Social Network should win, but I would really really like to see Toy Story 3 win. Because that movie was freaking awesome, and it would be awesome to see one of my personal favorites from this year take it home. The movie was great. Just sayin'.

-Best Actor-

Once again, Firth will take this home, but I think the "stammer" he did is a but of a parallel to the way Jessie Eisenberg talked and acted in The Social Network. And he gave such a great character performance too. I want him to win.

-Supporting Actor-

Bale is going to win, and I think he fully deserves it, but am I kind of want Jeremy Renner to win. He did a great job in The Town, and I personally think he did a great job making a terrible character likable.

-Actress-

Portman. NEXT!

-Supporting Actress-

I'm not sure. This is pretty much a toss-up. I haven't seen True Grit, but I have heard the girl in that was good. What was her name...Hailee Steinfeld. Yeah. That'd be cool. But I guess I'll say Melissa Leo. Did a great job as the mother in The Fighter.

-Soundtrack-

I mourn the absence of Daft Punk who practically made the movie for me, so Trent Reznor for the Social Network gets my vote. Awesome job.

-Animated Film-

Toy Story 3. It's Pixar.

I'm guessing King's Speech will be taking home a ton of Oscars. I haven't seen it because it looks like a movie I wouldn't enjoy that much. But I would be so happy if Black Swan took home more awards than just "Best Actress". It was the first movie that I thought about every day for two weeks after seeing it. It's truly mindblowing.

I'll have to disagree with you on Animated Film. I'm not a big fan of animated film, but I saw The Illusionist last week. It was a very good movie, and hand-drawn. I'll be disappointed if a 3D animated movie takes the prize over a hand-drawn movie. The themes and general artistic style of The Illusionist were just so captivating. It commented on the coming obsoleteness of hand-drawn animation over 3D animation, and I think it would be fitting if it won an Oscar as one of the last hand-drawn films.

To me, 3D animation just doesn't have the same soul to it as hand-drawn. I know it takes just as much skill, but it feels so robotic and bland. It's like electronic music to instruments. Yes, it still sounds good and takes skill. But it just doesn't have that human connection anymore.

Best Visual Effects will go to Inception.

King's Speech will win best picture, because it's Oscar Bait. But, if it doesn't, I'm betting on black swan.

The Pixar AwardBest Animated Film will go to Toy Story 3. Because Pixar always fucking wins it. I would really like to see "How to Train your Dragon" win, though.

My opinion can be summed up if you watch moviebob's thoughts on the Oscars, so just watch that for my opinion.

How depressing. They haven't even brought those movies in Mexico...I really wanted to see Black Swan and 127 Hours.
