I have fond and horrifying memories of playing Outlast alone in my room, with a headset on and deciding sooner or later to leave the light on for a tiny bit haha. Even though it wasnt the 'best' horror survival game, I definetely rank it pretty high on my scale. The feeling of being completely alone and defenseless is right up Amnesia's alley but I think Red Barrel pulled it off quite nicely aswell. Just too many jump scares in my opinion, couldve done with a few less and a tiny bit more ambience and I personally believe it wouldve been better.
It would seem from what Ive read about it a bit, you play 'before' the events of Outlast, your the chap who gave the reporter the 'tips' to go there in the first place. So I imagine you see how everything unfolds and how things happened to get to the point of Outlast.
I for one, am pumped and will gladly shed some cash to get this DLC.
