This is something I want to ask all Path fans. I played the demo. And the odd thing about it is most people think the girls in The Path represent the Grandmother at diffrent times. But in the prologue, you play as the white dress girl. It is easy to find the path, and each spot were you can find the wolf is covered in a black smoke. This could actually add something more to the story. I think that the smoke created the wolfs. What do you think?

The Girl in White aka the Forest Nymph represents the perfect life. A place where you are free to wander the roads of time without temptation or danger, gaining experience from life without suffering the problems that the average person would come across. The wolves are obscured because she is a pure being, one entirely of innocence and optimism, of endless discovery before retiring to the bed that for each of the girls represents the end of their lives.

This person is a paradox. She is an impossible being. This kind of person cannot exist within the world we live in. Which is why, no matter what you interact with or how many clovers you pick up, you fail with the Nymph at the end: Because the sheltered innocence of the path and the harsh experience of what lies beyond cannot be combined. It is impossible to have the best of both worlds, to never grow up but still have the knowledge one needs to survive on their own.

It was a total mindfuck, but in the same way seeing Monet paintings in person brings me to tears.
I don't get the need to analyze it, really.

Also, just as an interesting tidbit, the girl in white is in every ToT game to date (Only during abeogenesis in TEF), and was going to be the protagonist of 8, a sort of examination of the sleeping castle in Briar Rose. She is 8 and is... Deaf and mute, if I recall correctly. At least in 8.
