The following was inspired by watching Spoony's Final Fantasy 13 review for like, the second time. His mind's ability to nitpick fascinates me, as it always brings up some fairly valid questions.

It got me thinking, have you ever had a moment where your mind fixated on small, unimportant details?

A recent one for me was when I was watching Dragon Ball Z abriged, and it got to a scene where Nail tries to speak Namekian to Piccolo. That just made my brain go into this long thought pattern in no particular order...

-Why can Raditz speak the same language as the earlings?
-Actually, why do all the aliens in this universe speak english?
-Why don't Namekians speak their own language between each other?
-Speaking of Namekians, why do they need noses AND antenna? Isn't that redundant?
-Why don't any of the saiyan's tails grow back after the saiyan saga?
-Why can they grow back in the first place? Thats not how monkeys work.
-Why doesn't Trunks have a tail? Or Pan?
-Why has Piccolo never made his own children like his father did? That seems like it'd be helpful.
-How would the scouters work if a species didn't have eyes?

Any, those are mine. Have any from a show/Movie/book/game you'd like to add?

You have to wonder, if you ever wanted these criticisms to go away, how much you'd have to pare down your created world.

Then you have to wonder if you'd be criticised for not having enough.

I used to like Spoony, his two hour talk on horror films after watching Paranormal Activity and Insidious was fascinating. Ditto the Ultima retrospective. But the nitpicking I just find tiresome. Then again I find listening to people talk about what they don't like tiresome.

Whatever that link was it broke my browser D:

OT: Towards the end of Skyward Sword

Link gets all the pieces of the triforce together and makes his wish for demise to go away/disappear/be destroyed... But then because of time travel he had to go back and fight the Demise from the past... But... why? He didn't point at the monster and say "KILL THAT!"

He just wished for demise to be gone. In general. The concept of his enemy to be dead. Past, present, future, whatever. What kind of half assed job is the triforce doing if it doesn't actually do what it was asked.

The be careful what you wish for loophole was on the protagonists side this time. WHY?!
