Dogs, Cats, Birds, Hamsters, Ferrets, Turtles, Iguanas, Birds of all kinds.

Plenty of us have them but I have yet to see a thread celebrating our non human family members.

So I made one.

Post pictures, tell us about your pets or what pets you plan on getting/want.


I will start

This is my dog Molly, a Schnauzer/Miniature Poodle mix, thoroughly confused as to why a tree is now inside and what these glowing things are.

Spoiler: Dug around a bit and found some pictures of her when she first arrived at our house.

She is a ball of energy even a year and a half later. Loves to hop up onto a couch at the end of the day and sprawl out on her back with no regard of anyone's comfort. Greets everyone who comes to the door by running up to them and rolling over for belly rubs.

EDIT: She really is a couch thief. Lucky she isn't too big.

I had a dwarf hamster once, a Roborovski named Ratbert. He was a lively little dude. Long gone, but I think he went out fairly happy. I also looked after a terrapin once, until he got too big and we had to move to another country. We released him into the park with a little red spot painted on his shell. He should still be cruising with the ducks and swans and other terrapins and such.
