The RP has begun!

Rai looked up upon the ship, Destin, so tall that it made him feel dizzy just looking up at it. He saw a place to sit down and walked over, he put his bag down next to him and then sat down. It would be a while before they could start boarding the ship he thought. Military weapons and ships were still being brought in the Destin. They won't know what they will find on the world and the Earth government doesn't want to take any chances. Best case scenario, its uninhabited by intelligent life, worse case scenario, it is.

It wouldn't be out of the question to attempt at a peace agreement but whatever might be on the world might be too frighten to make peace. Suddenly Rai felt something hit his head. A plop noise, he looked up and noticed the sky was getting dark. Soon it began to rain, Rai picked up his stuff and went under a tent that anyone could go under. Many other people were under as well so he didn't have much room to himself.

He had traveled here from New York City, it was hard, with no car and no money he needed to walk. Though he had been chosen to come aboard the ship, he had to make his own way to Washington D.C. An hour passed and all of the military equipment and ships were aboard the Destin, it was time for everyone else to board. Inside they would have a choice of sleeping in cryo-sleep for the ride of staying aboard but it would be limited as they don't have an unlimited supply of food. So the majority would be in stasis.

Each and every person has a pass stamped by the Earth Government that would need to be checked. It wasn't uncommon for people to get killed and people fighting over the passes. They would enter like they would on a plane or cruise ship. A passage held up by bars was connected to the ship and would be disconnected once everyone was boarding. Though to accommodate for the large amount of people they had four passages.

"Hey, Hey you! You going to show me your pass?"

Suddenly Rai looked up, he hadn't noticed he was holding up the line. He pulled out his pass and gave it to the worker. The worker took it and scanned it.

"Rai Veloe, alright, this is correct, you can now board." The worker announced to him.

"Thanks."

Rai walked by the worker and entered the Destin.

I'm assuming we just start by arriving and boarding the ship?

Sophie stood there, shocked at the size of the ship. She smiled slightly and shook her head. She wanted to get away from earth as fast as possible. She was sick of being reminded of...she refused to think about it.

She reached the front of the line and showed the worker her pass. She wiped away a couple of tears and sat down next to Rai. She figured she might as well introduce herself.

"Hello...my name's Samantha. But just call me Sam," She held out A hand, "What's your name?"

Mike hastily towards the boarding docks, not taking his eyes off the sight of the ship, he had arrived early, but was eager to board and begin the journey of a lifetime. He stood in line patiently, keeping to himself, he glanced around at the crowd of his fellow colonists, people from every race and imaginable. The smell of oiled metal and fuel was everywhere, a storm of conversations filled the air.

"Your pass sir?"

He glanced quickly to his front, to see a young Scottish worker holding out her had. "Oh yeah, shit, here it is" Mike clumsily grabbed his pass and gave it to her. She looked at it for a few moments before handing it back "Huh, Class H? haven't got that many soldiers on board, anyway welcome aboard Mr. Cameron" "Thank you"

He sighed and climbed up the ramp, before entering a waiting room that was surprisingly bare. He sat a couple chairs away from two people, a woman and a man. He overheard the woman introduce herself to buddy as "Sam". His anxiety grew, he dreaded talking to other people, and it was only a matter of time before someone tried to start a conversation with him.

He pulled a cigarette out of his pack, stuck it in his mouth and pulled out the old brass zippo lighter from his jacket. It had a hammer and sickle emblazoned over a star, a token from his war days, he had picked it up from a North Korean sergeant he had killed. It was familiar, yet alien, comforting and haunting all at the same time. He lit the cigarette and placed it back into his pocket, out of fear of another relapse if he started to remember too heavily.

Rai reached out and shook her hand.

?Names Rai Veloe, why are you-?

He was cut off by a worker coming up to him. He was silent at first and just looked at both of them.

?Rai Veloe I presume..?? the worker asked.

?Yeah that?s me.?

?I need you to come with me, your room is ready, and Samantha Freeman your room should be ready soon.?

Rai stood up and followed the man but before they left he turned ?Guess, I shall talk to you later Sam.?

It was quite a long walk to the room, at least thirty minutes, in that time they passed a cafeteria, stores, and many people?s room. They have a room for each and every person. The man stopped and turned and faced left.

?Room 16321A. Here you are.?

The room was plain, bed, bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet. There was a bed and also a cryo-tube.

?Alright? the man said ?Here is your key to your room, anytime you enter the door will lock behind you. You already know that you can either stay awake for the two years or go to sleep in cryo.?

Rai thought about it but decided it would be best not to sleep in cryo-sleep; it would mess up his aging process, a possible side-effect. The worker left the room while he pondered the choice. When they lift off, he would be able to see space from his window which lied over his bed. A lucky addition as most rooms have a window that had a monitor to simulate outside, these were rooms that were in the inner of the ship and not on the outer.

He opened his door again, slid his key into his pocket and decided to go exploring around the ship.

CJ stared at the behemoth of a ship from his parent's suite.

"Finally, I'm gonna leave this place" he said to himself
"you know you could always stay here and run the family business" his father said
"I could but I would still be miserable, I want to go out and make my own name not just inherit my fame" CJ replied
"Well I guess guess I can understand that son just be careful out there ok" his father said
"All right pops"

CJ gave his father one last hug before he took his bag and left for the ship. Lucky for him he was able to bypass the majority of the crowd on his way to the boarding docks, lucky for him his family helped fund the project but that didnt matter to him. All that mattered was that he was going to board the Destin and make his way on the new planet.

"Pass sir?"

CJ gave him his pass still wondering of his untold future.

"Ah yes Clar..."
"Yeah dont say my name please I would rather not let people know who I am just call me CJ"
"very well sir we have a special stasis pod if you would follow then gentleman behind me"
"You know what I wont take it just give to the next person behind me and I'll take their spot"
"Uh...well ok sir if you wish"
CJ wanted to start from the bottom up and thus he didnt want others knowing his identity, on this voyage he was to become a new man.

Sam pulled out a small notepad and began writing on it. She liked to write her thoughts down. She did a lot of thinking ever since Paul had died.

She followed the worker, still writing and looked around the ship on the way.
"By Rai." She said as he walked away.

Soon after he got around to finding Sam again, she was where he had last seen her.

He sat back down next to her "Hey Sam, So I shall ask what I was going to eariler."

"What are you doing here? Like do you have a reason for coming aboard? For me, its a sort of sensitive topic but I have grown used to it. My parents died years ago during a riot in NYC, since then I have grown less attached to Earth. So I decided to come aboard, of course I was lucky enough to win through the lottery. So how about you?"

Sam slowly lowered her notepad.
She looked at Rai, angrily.

"I don't want to talk about it. You should keep out of my business."
Her expression changed,
"S-sorry, it's not your fault, I just don't like to think about it. My boyfriend died and I wanted to get away from earth. I concidered suicide more than once..."

She looked down and her eyes filled up with tears.
"I-i'm sorry, it's a-a touchy s-subject..."

CJ walked through the labryninth that was the Destin after he saw his room. It was a standard room leaving nothing to be excited and thus he decided to explore the ship that was too carry him and many others for two years. Already, he could feel his old life ending and his new life beginning.

"Sorry I asked, its just that, many people from all around the world with different backgrounds are here, and so I guess I should have known there would be some tragic ones."

He looked around still sitting.

"It will be intresting living on this ship for two years, i'll be 17 when we arrive. Since it was accutaly my birth-day, on the fifth, two days ago. They say we should arrive by November 18th, 2712. How about you, how old will you be?"

Samantha thaught and smiled,
"I'll be 21 years old."
She wiped some streaming tears away and smiled again.
She began to write in her notepad again.

Nick was tired from the long flight to Washington DC from Finland. Most people would be pissed to fly across U.S.A. alone and he had to cross one of the great oceans plus that. He doesn't do well in planes and that doesn't help much either. The strange part is that only planes cause him trouble of all the vehicles.

He took a taxi to the place were the ship was. When he arrived he silently watched the ship and all the people who were there. He noticed a clumsy man in the front of the line searching for his passport. Nick smiled thinking about all the different people he would meet.

A watchman came over to him
"Excuse me sir, you're the Scandinavian right?"
"Pardon? could you speak a bit slower, my ears are still ringing from the long flight and your accent is not something I've heard before."
"Show me your passport" the man said
Nick showed his passport and was taken to a gate at the back of the ship.
I will show you to your room the man said and started walking in a fast pace along all the long corridors. They passed shops, cafeterias and right before the man stopped outside room 8237N they had passed a room with weights and machines that were for training.
"here's your room close to a training hall as you requested, have a nice day."

Nick barely had the time to say thank you before the man was gone, he went into his room and checked it thoroughly before he put on a comfy outfit: Black woolen pants and a green shirt with some white stripes. He had found a device much like a gps in his room that worked as a map for the spaceship. He started exploring the gigantic ship and hoped he soon would find some fellow traveler to talk with.

Mike was quietly chowing down on a pork sandwich and some fried potatoes, he pulled a small flask out of his front pocket and poured some heavy Jamaican rum into his coke, before stirring it with a straw. His quarters were alright, he was staying right next to the crew quarters, the only smoking section of the ship, out of coincidence, it was right next to the worker who had welcomed him onto the ship.

He finished his meal, and stood up, taking his drink with him. He turned a corner and bumped into another passenger, he was wearing dark pants and a green and white striped shirt, he swore in something that sounded swedish, or polish or some sort of -ish.

"Shit, sorry man, didn't look where I was going, exploring the ship as well eh?"

He looked around, and then noticed the gates for the cafeteria was opening. Rai then looked down and felt a growl from his stomach. Then he looked over at Sam who was writing in her notepad.

"Hey wanna get something to eat? I am starving."
