*WARNING Possible spoilers ahead. I ask that you use spoiler tags when possible, but there might be spoilers WARNING*

Welcome to the "Play your old games" thread! Ever have a game that you always wanted to play but never got around to it? Always have other games that you wanted to play first? Well, this is the chance of a lifetime as you now have the entire Escapist community to help you in your game!

The concept is simple. You play old game. You get stuck on said game. You ask for help on this thread. The people of the Escapist help you. You happily go through your game.

What's that you say? You don't need any help? You're absolutely perfect in every way? Fear not! This thread also serves the purpose of discussing the game in general, be it the storyline, artistic value, or how big someone's breasts are, you now have someone to discuss the game with! Considering you're playing a game that is most likely ridiculously old, no one is playing it anymore, thus you would have had no one to discuss the game with which is boring! Now you do!

I want YOU to play old games and discuss them in this thread!

Sorry for the Billy Mays-esque description, but basically this thread is for people who need help or who want to discuss old games. Or you could just talk about the game you are playing, recommend to other people, etc. etc. Now, an old game is anything over a year old, because if you haven't played it and it's over a year old, chances are you're just skipping out on it.

Anyway, discuss away. At this point I'm playing Star Ocean: Till the End of Time (PS2), so if I need help I'll ask for it.

Possible Spoilers Ahead

I'm playing Deus Ex. I'm in Hell's Kitchen, after Tracer Tong sends you there, and the police shoot if they see you. I haven't played in a while, so I can't remember the names exactly, but I met the guy at Osgood and Sons, and he keeps telling me to go to the seaport or something. I have no idea what that means.

Oh yeah, I should probably add a spoiler warning.

I don't have any old games except ones I've loved so much I still play. At the moment I'm playing through Majesty Gold. I've beaten Majesty with it's expansion many years before, but I found this in my best friend's collection and thought I'd give it a try again. Kind of refresh myself since Majesty 2 comes out in a couple of months.

Eh, the only 'old' game that I own and haven't finished is Psychonauts, and I have plans for when I'm gonna play that already, so I can't be included. :/ Sorry guys. (Not as if you care. :D)

I'm on the original Broken Sword on the PC, slightly shorter than the DS version but it has the voice work, which really makes the game and ruins the DS one. I doubt I'll need help, been a while since I played it but I'm pretty sure I remember what to do. If anyone else has the game, play it! It's a great point 'n' click!

I can see myself liking this forum

I didn't think they'd released that yet, but that's up there with LOOM and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

Everything.

Besides, sometimes getting help from more than one place is a good thing, because I've had instances where strategies shown in walkthroughs simply didn't work for me.

Ah, you're talking about strategies! Sorry, when I think of my gaming past and getting stuck, I always think of riddles - which there usually is only one solution for. :p

But there's nothing wrong with gamefaqs, understood!? o_O

Whatever you say. ;)

No, I use GameFAQs for walkthroughs myself, but... eh, I don't feel like repeating myself.

I almost finished it when it was new. I have plans of taking it up again soon. Great game. Even though "old" is as you say, maybe a stretch.

And yes, I am a Tim Schafer fan-boy.

Perhaps a replay of the remake of monkey island too. if that counts, which I think it should.
