Unsurprisingly the Playstation move sold under Sony's expectations. Even though it did sell well in Europe it didn't sell that well in the US but People predict that the Move's sales will increase during the Holiday season.

What is your opinion on the Move and its sales.

And for added discussion value how well do you think the Kinect well sell on launch week.

Yeah well how many move games are out there right now much less a good move game.
Of coarse, it isn't going to do well.

actually I believe it sold more then they expected, they even said it probably isn't something you want to pre-order and since it hasn't been long since its lanuch, I say it proved themselves wrong.

They should really just accept the undeniable fact that Nintendo will always be at the head of the handheld market.

EDIT: I meant to say motion-control market, as Move is in fact a motion control console. But hey, my original statement still holds true.

Don't you mean the motion control market?
OT: It probably will sell better when more games come out and the Holiday's come around.

I would say both... either way Nintendo is ahead of them...

Pretty much the only thing I like about the move is its shooting felt a lot better than it does for the Wii. Of course, I still won't get the Move since I don't have enough space in my living room for it, without having to move the far more useful coffee table. Ditto with the Kinect, except it feels like a Wii that requires even more space and is years behind the times. So yeah, I'm really not shocked that the Move isn't doing that well. Both feel like Sega Genesis add-ons: expensive and pointless in an attempt to cash in on an entirely different market.

It isn't that surprising. Although it seems to be an improved version of the wii technology. It's not something which a lot of people would warrent paying £70 odd for, or however much it is going for currently. The Kinect, despite having much worse games on launch, will probably sell better purely because the idea is different. Admittedly due to the games choice, I'd rather get the Move over the Kinect. Not to mention I can't use the Kinect where my console and HDTV is as it would require me either standing on the bed, or just removing it from existance.

I think they are both making a big mistake with their launches. They should have waited till they had a bigger library of games across more genre's before releasing either the move or Kinect. Honestly if you do have a Wii there is little reason right now to get a move or Kinect and if you don't your better off getting a Wii then either of the others...and it'll cost you about as much.

Move has slightly better games that are being released and it came out first......but I think Microsoft still is currently owned by more people then Ps3's. I have all 3 systems and am waiting to see if a game is released that makes it worth getting a move or Kinect. I'm happy with my Wii right now if I really want a motion controlled game, I have plenty of fun games for me and my friends or me and my wife (she loves Elibits) to play.

Personally it will take either a great RPG that uses the move/Kinect in an innovative way that makes it more fun to play then a controller (say Demon Souls using the move to actually slash or aim your arrows etc) or a great action or 3d platform type game (think Ratchet and Clank with the move for instance) to really get me interested.

Much like the Wii the Move's launch titles sucked, but that didn't stop me from buying one. Also, Sports Champions is way more fun than Wii sports. Back on topic, the Move is much more accurate than the Wii was at its launch, and it does it without the use of a Wii motion plus. Though you do have to pay an extra $30 for the thing with the analog stick on it. Any of you who watched E3 the last 2 years should have seen the awesomeness that was the Move and some of the awesome games they have planned for it, like Sorcery for example. I'm not surprised it didn't sell very well, seeing as how just about everyone already has a Wii.

As for how I think the Kinect will sell, I predict it won't sell at all because you could buy an Eye Toy for a lot cheaper.

I am in a small dilemma with regards to this, I watched a MGS rising vid were you could cut watermelons and robots with Raiden's sword, which would be sweet but I don't really want to spend over £10 to be wowed for 30 seconds.

I kind of want it (and kinect) to flop and flop HARD! Just to devs can see were not interested in this gimmicky crap.

The sales will rise around xmas and other big name games, such as KZ3, but thats about it.

Not particularly wooed by motion-sensitive controls. I want brain controls.
