This was something that was done in the Red Letter Media Star Wars Episode 1 Review and I thought we could try it out here for video game characters. It isn't an excellent judge of how good a character is but I thought it would be something fun to do and share. For it being done in action skip ahead to 6:45.

So here it is. Describe a video game character (of your choice) WITHOUT saying what they look like, what kind of costume they wear, or what their profession or role in the game is. Describe this character to your friends like they ain't never played the game.

She had a very hard childhood, her mother abused the hell out of her. More emotionally than physically, it really does impact her as a person. She has a hard time interacting with other people at first, very awkward with them. Is clearly intelligent and has a rather snarky, sarcastic and cynical attitude. Very mistrustful of religion. She values strength and knowledge and survival, tangible things not abstract concepts. For quite a while has a hard time trusting other people. Once she grows to care about people she really values them and can be very protective of them. She does morally questionable things but I wouldn't say she's evil and she definitely mellows out if you're nice to her. Freedom and independence are very important to her. Often rather pragmatic but does see value preserving things for their own sake and to improve things in the long run, kind of a big picture view in that way.

The character is Morrigan from Dragon Age.
