(this is my first one so i hope you guys will like it)
Ok so first off The Political Machine 2008 is not a game for everyone,Though anyone may play it I cannot think of anyone who would particularly like this game unless you are a lover of politics and/or history (I happen to be in both of those lists but anyways...). The P.M was created by Stardock, a company who is known for their Galactic Civilizations, and Sins of a Solar Empire games, but lets get to the review. This game is actually very simple, you choose a candidate and play through the 2008 presidential election. Think McCain should of won?, or that Hilary should of been the first female presadent? Then this is the game for you.
There are 3 modes hear, the first one being quick play which allows you to choose the time length, the difficulty, etc, but also gives you other campaign's to try out like the 1860 election or the nation of eroupea(Europe as seen by a teenage kid.) The second one is multiplayer (I don't think i need to explain this one,and final campaign play where you can play through ether the democrats or republicans and then face off agents the best and the worst of each party. There is also alot of humor in the game including parodies of TV shows like bill O'reilly, and larry king. The game also allows you to make your own candidate and i must say for a bobble head mine does look like me. There are some flaws though like for instance the game has a constant need for money (in game money not real money) so it sucks when im trying to capture new york and i can't because i have to fun raise first. My biggest disappointment though is that they have no debates, im sorry but what where they thinking when they decided to make a presidential campaign game if you can't debate? But despite some minor flaws this is one of the best games out there for people who are into this stuff.
Don't know if i should do a number but just in case im giving The Political Machine 2008 4 failed Ralph Nader campaigns out of 5
(edit im making it a bit easer to read)
