The Problem with [Prototype]

I...am mad. After just completing a rather difficult mission in [Prototype], the game starts its autosave function. As any good gamer would know, YOU DO NOT FUCK WITH A GAME WHILE ITS AUTOSAVING. Unfortunately, my 360 also froze at this point, leaving me with no option but to turn off the console (I waited a good 15 minutes for the game to unfreeze itself). Now I have a corrupted save slot in [Prototype], a bad mood, and I am too annoyed to want to start all over again. Hell, what if I start over again only to have this happen to me again?

...Because this thread is pretty much a rant, and therefore not discussion worthy, I will add a question: What really annoying hardware issues have screwed up your gaming experiences before?

NOTE- Anybody who gets the reference in this thread's title gets a cookie.

I accidentally deleted my Pikmin file while resting my controller. Haven't played it since.

Once an electrical storm caused the fuses in my house to blow while I was saving my Soul Calibur III game. I lost my record of having fought 2000 battles, which entailed having every single piece of weapon and armour in the game.

Did I mention this happened twice? (Actually, on the second time I absent-mindedly turned off my PS2. Stupid.)

this is why when its a game with slots I give two to my main character for just such an occasion...but usualy because I end up overwriting one by accident -_-

Eh, that sucks. Maybe you should use more then one save slot in case this happens again. i use at least three at the minumum and rotate them while i'm playing.

I play prototype on the PC and I use all 20 save slots lol.
I almost bought this game for the PC...I guess I should always use a backup save from now on. I would have had to restart the mission, but that would have been it.

The Futurama episode, The Problem with Poplers? Or was that in and of itself a reference to something else?

My brother deleted my Oblivion character had to reload earlier save which leads me to my next frustration, my xbox getting the three rings of DEATH at the same spot where I was previously when my brother deleted the save.

Very close. Said Futurama episode title is a reference to the Star Trek episode, "The Trouble with Tribbles."

The difficulty in the game goes from really easy to fucking impossible in the mission where you get Elizabeth Green out I got killed or the thing your protecting broke and that is fucking easy compared to fighting the giant blob that is Elizabeth Green so the game is great but I still have not beaten that boss so if your reading this and I know you are please tell me how you beat it and if you haven't played the game you stop reading this and go buy it retard.

I beat her by throwing cars and other objects and remembered to keep moving also if you need health go to one of the side streets where the green orb things she shoots won't hit you and consume the infected people or kill the hunters chasing you to get health. it takes a while but keep at it and you beat her.

I believe the problem with Prototype is that I CAN'T FREAKING RUN IT ON THE PC, LIKE MANY OTHERS, WITHOUT IT GOING UTTERLY HAYWIRE.

*cough*

Sorry, just a LITTLE peeved that nobody seems to even notice this massive problem, dev-wise.
