Yeah mark my words wait until Mass Effect 3 officially hits the shelves. See if you'll be able to find any other topic NOT Mass Effect 3 related. Don't worry this just the beginning.....

Similar doesn't mean the same though. There'll be a lot of aspects of ME3 people will want to talk about. What the hell is wrong with that?

Ouch. As plenty of other people pointed out, that was a pretty severe misstep there. If you really do need to use personal insults, try to make sure they are in fact personal and don't apply to a nation of millions. That's just the start, I won't bother going into all the other hurled insults and generalizations. True, this is the internet, and nobody is expecting you to sound as though you're writing a professional essay or addressing a noble, but there's a basic level of etiquette that it helps to stick to.

In the end, this is a gaming site, and there are fewer more appropriate places for these threads to pop up. Sure, they might be frustrating sometimes (I myself tire of seeing Mass Effect 3 threads, for example), but nobody asks you to read them. Admittedly, seeing other, more diverse threads be buried by "Favourite x/y/z" threads can be depressing, but those threads still exist, you've just got to move along a page or two first. Besides, the forums have multiple categories that cover a variety of topics. Try hanging out in the Off-Topic forums. If you don't want to talk about the latest release, there are always plenty of other things to discuss.
