A short customer review.

I purchased my PS3 official headset with SOCOM: Confrontation and for the first few days it worked flawlessly. After the honeymoon period the headset started to fail. One problem after a good week and a half you will notice the battery will not survive a full 10 hour gamer night without requiring charging half way through. Another problem with it is the headset mic is not that great, it's prone to dropping out or just not picking you up unless your screaming cuss words at your T.V. Another flaw is it is very uncomfortable after a good hour.
The only pro to this headset would be it looks pretty slick, and has a very nice volume level ranging from quiet enough to ignore the 4 year olds online and loud enough for you to hear your friends who have very quiet mics.

On a whole I do not advise you purchase this head set.

I disagree.
Mine works fine but the re-charging thing does get a bit annoying.

You have written 6 lines about a headset, thats not a review for a start - you also insult the PSN player-base as you are doing so. Other points to seem to claim as fact are in fact completly subjective.

Read reviews on the forum first - don't just post them for the sake of it.

Im sorry I didn't conform to your strict review criteria, just thought I might warn some people about a product I find to be poorly put together. The PSN thing there was meant to be a joke, sorry you didn't get it.

I have encountered many people who have the same problems with their headsets as I have.

Why would I buy an 'official' Sony headset for the PS3, when a Blu-Tooth works not only better, but has more uses.

Because it came with SOCOM: Confrontation. Also my other headset before that died.
