Wallstreet and Big companies do it all the time, most people don't take joy in killing and do it strictly to benifit themselves or defend themselves and rapists? Are you kidding me? Because we are animals too. Mammels actually but still. And today, I'm much prefering "other animals" over humans anyway, due to the fact that I'm very envious of them (especially the wild ones) for reasons I won't say on here.

I feel that we don't have the right to try and assume our lives are any more important than the life of a dog. (or any other animal.)

This is true. However, killing defenseless creatures regardless of species is pathetic and absurd. I feel no remorse for this girl and I do believe she should be locked up in a mental institution. Unecessary harm done to any defenseless creature is unbelievably pathetic. We kill plenty of animals out of necessity, but outside of hunting (because hunting actually serves a purpose), there is no reason to kill for "fun".

Edit: I am the proud owner of three pets myself, by the way. Animal cruelty pisses me off (though not as much as human suffering) when I consider the possibility of my friends (yes, friends being drowned/beaten/tortured by other humans, greatly considering the fact most small animals can't do much to defend themselves against a full grown human being. People like that are pathetic and don't deserve sympathy. At least, in my opinion.

Compare the amount of humans that have actually made an impact on the world in general to the total population, and you'll see the error in your claims.

I value everything based on how it will/may impact my life. If an animal being killed does not have the potential to impact me whatsoever, said incident has no value to me.

I determine the usefulness of a life based on its potential to impact society as a whole. Using this metric, you will likely come to the same conclusion I have. In fact, in this case, this girl's amusement is likely more useful than the dog's life, therefor I condone this act of "cruelty".

Backing up an argument with morals obsoletes the argument, as morals are illogical ideals, implanted into children at birth.
