Very true. In fact, I'm almost certain this thread is just that - an attempt to attract attention towards you, OP.
You want to gain a reputation as "the controversial guy who questions the motives of the other users", or something like that. Do you not?

Bit of a late reply as my internet was cut out yesterday. But yes I did ask myself this when I posted the thread. Maybe I am a hypocrite, I doubt even I know.

Are you seeking attention by posting a controversial comment?

We naturally need the company of others, whether we admit it or not, so yes we want as much attention as we want, not necessarily to the point of spectacle but ackownledgement.
