The Remake?

I'm relatively new here and I couldn't spot a thread about this, so sorry if there is one already.

If you could have a remake of any game made what would it be?

Also what are your feelings to remakes, are these something that should be done or are some games better left as they are?

Zelda: Majora's Mask
because it's the best game ever and I'd love it to be graphically remade. With as much power as possible, so preferrably on the PS3, not Wii

and in general, I LOVE remakes. Gives me a chance to play all the classics while not feeling like I play something aged (or not being able to play it at all because of the system it's on)

You should not remake good games because you are screwing with art, you should not remake bad games because we would like to forget about them and you should not remake average games because honestly who cares?

KOTOR. Pretty much KOTOR 3 but I want it so bad I'd call it a remake.

The DOOM series should be left alone. If you plan on making a new doom game don't put a 3 or 4 behind it and then make it a fucking remake. That's a dick move.

Old ones are dated. I bought the Metroid NES classis for the GBA because I never played it, but it was WAY to hard! No recovery @ safe points. Yes, I;ll admit, I'd rather had played a remake that went with the times

I would say I'd rather see this be put on the Virtual console than re-made, in my opinion classics shouldn't be re-made, why I also think they should leave Super Metroid 1 + 2 alone, to me those games were near perfect and would hate it if they came out worse.

To me re-makes are ok, some can pull it off and some can't, but if your going to re-make a game it should have a serious amount of fan input and research, there's nothing worse where a game is re-made and the story has been changed or one of the more worthwhile elements has been removed or changed.

Megaman X remake for the PSP was awesome, all they did was upgrade the graphics, allow you to use vile on the same levels as X visits to tie in with the story a bit (which was awesome) and they gave you a free short anime movie of the games story, which was excellently done.

Goldeneye from the N64 is one I would love it see a rm of. Just graphic updates and maybe some extra lvls, leave gameplay and all the items alone. Its still my favorite FPS.

You can also add in some more characters to play as

Half-life would be good to see remade as well, same as goldeneye, just graphics

I wouldn't ever remake, maybe a rebuild with better graphics and sound, also maybe gameplay fixes.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2. God help me, but if they remade it with a 2.5D, Bionic Commando Rearmed graphic style and a remixed soundtrack (ideally some stuff from the great people over at OCRemix. It's not unheard of, I believe they were called upon for the HD SFII remake that's coming out), I would buy it, and no doubt love it.
