Sander looked at Natasha, feeling sorry for the woman's fate, as suddenly his own journey came to his mind.
"That's..I'm sorry..it must have been a horrible fate," he said, looking out once again. "Hey, I feel like writing something, and no offense, but I usually like to be alone. Care to come for a coffee sometime later?"

Okay, guys, sorry, I went to Sweden and to Finland, and am here now, so I may not have much chance to come here. I'll be back home tomorrow night, so then I can come back on. And, also, to Sparrow, as I know that players'll get other chapters later, then I was intending this chapter to be more like build-up. Set up a threat, meet another player character, 'ts all.

"Sure, why not," Natasha said with a smile, her memories briefly forgotten. "Shall I invite myself round in a few hours? Or you could come to my place, it's just across the street." She got up and packed up the first-aid kit. "Do you want me to leave a couple of painkillers here for you?" she asked, unsure how long they could last.

"Oh, yes. I'd be delighted to see your living place," Sander said, a wide smile on his face.
"Yeah, it'd be nice if you left some. The pain's already decreasing, but hey, you never know."

"Feel free to come over whenever you're done working," Natasha said. She pulled out two of the painkillers and put them on Sander's bedside table. "I don't know how long they last, but give it a few hours. They're not permanent, of course, so if your shoulder starts hurting again they'll have worn off."

She picked up the metal dart off the floor and put it on a bench. "Best not to leave that lying around. Maybe we should take it in to the authorities later." She made her way to the door, turned and quickly waved. "See you later, then," she said as she headed out the door.

"That dart?" Sander asked himself quietly as soon as the woman left. He set his head on his pillow, promptly sitting up, and walking up to a rather nice-looking table, grabbing a pile of paper sheets from the drawer. Next to it all he looked at his computer, which he knew would one day get all what was dwelling on his mind, which he'd commit to paper.

"That metal dart, Natasha, I would like to examine more, and keep," he said. "Plus, it's what gave me inspiration," the man said, fixing his wrist on the paper, as it now moved fast, but elegantly across the paper.

The End of Chapter 2

So, I'll end my chapter here. Give someone else a chance to do whatever they want and explore their character more. I figured I had gone on with this long enough, and probably bored you all to tears.

So here it is, a chance!

Hood waited outside the man's house, watching as the woman left. He didn't want to interfere, instead choosing simply to observe. The man was no fighter, he held no ties with the Adept. Drawing Sander into his world would be far too dangerous, for the both of them.

End of Chapter 2: Next Chapter GM - Sage42

I figured it'd be a lot less messy if I just tied each chapter together with some filler. And yeah, Sage is up next!

Remember to PM the people you want in your chapter, Sage.

Sally hung up her uniform in her locker at Legionnaire HQ She looked at her calender just to make sure as she grabbed the small gift in her locker. "Yup, not that I'd forget." She said to herself chuckling "See ya later Jacob." She said to the large man before heading out towards Lin's house with the gift under her arm. She opened the door when she got to her mother's house and was surprised to see the lights out. "Hmm not like her to leave the lights off, maybe she's a sleep." She said to her self as she walked upstairs. Once Sally saw the empty bed and the empty closet, she began to worry. "Lin!" She called dropping the present, the small locket with a picture of the two of them laughing together falling out as the lid popped off. She got to the kitchen and found a note on the table.

It read
Sally;

I'm sorry to leave so suddenly. By the time you read this, it will be my birthday, but something came up and I had to leave the Republic. Please don't freak out and try to follow me, you know I can take care of my self. You have to stay and defend the Adept, the more protection for him the better. It's the night of when Hood caused that incident in the square. I won't be coming home remember I love you and you have to stay and....

The rest was illegible becuase of the tears. Why would she leave? She preomised when she retired a year ago that she would stay within the city for the rest of her life and stay safe. she thought wiping her eyes. "No I have to find her." She said running out of the house and strait towards the Adepts home.

Two Legionnaires stopped her at the gate "What business do you have with the Adept?" One asked in a gruff voice. "Shut up Frank and let me in." She said angrily as the both got out of her way. She rushed in and pounded on the door. Please hurry! She thought.

Okay Not exactly the perfect OP but hey not bad for my first one.

Woah, dude. Thinking back on what happened to Sander, and coupling that with the word Adept, you've given me a great idea! A great idea pertaining to Sander's storyline, which could, potentially, affect the whole Republic. But that'll have to wait for the right time. But still, thanks for the inspiration.

Also, Sage42, you sure got me pumped. I'm curious to who this Lin is, and why she left.

Jacob began work same as always. The City is practically a utopia, or at least it would be if not for the wanderer criminals that always seem to pop up. But, sometimes... sometimes Jacob misses life on the outside. The freedom. The excitement of living on the run. The constant traveling. Not to mention the perks of lawlessness. But, all that was behind him. He knows well and full he should be dead, but the Adept showed him mercy, and, more importantly, pity. He was given a second chance. And he was not going to waste it.

He was on his way to the Legionnaire HQ, when he noticed a fellow Legionnaire at the gates of the Adepts building. It was Sally. She seemed distraught and in a rush. She ran past the guards at the gate and began pounding at the door. Feeling a strange urge to help, Jacob approached her.

"Need some help, Sally?"

"You could say that." she said pounding o the door again. "I don't know if you know, but I came here when I was thirteen. My family was killed by bandits and I was next. But before they could do it, a group of Legionnaires saved me, their commander was the women who took me in. Her name's Lin Reynolds and she's missing. C'mon open up!" She yelled as she pounded again tears almost in her eyes.

"Lin Reynolds? I've heard of her. What do you mean by 'missing?' The city isn't that big, although..."

Jacob came to a realization, and he realized why Sally was so distraught.

"She left the City, didn't she?"

She pounded on the door again, both fists were now resting on the door, her head hung low. "Yes" she was barely able to whisper.

Sally looked up at the Adepts home. "I can't wait any longer Jacob. I have to find her, no matter what." She said turning from the large house. She began walking towards the Legionnaire HQ, with a look of grim determination on her face.

"You can't go out there alone. I know what it's like out there. You'd be dead in an hour."

Jacob began following her to the Legionnaire HQ. He cut in front of her, stopping her in her tracks.

"I'll go with you. I know how to survive the Outback. But, we need to prepare. First, we cannot wear our Legionnaire uniforms. That is just asking for trouble. Second, we need weapons. But, not Legionnaire weapons. I know where we can get others..."

Sally sighed "Thanks Jacob, I really hate to leave the city but, I can't let the women who raised die out there alone."

Alex was sprinting across the complex. Shotgun in hand, he rushed around a corner-

Beep beep beep.

Coming face to face with one of the robbers, he smashed the butt of his gun into the man's face-

Beep beep beep.

Alex opened his eyes. His alarm clock was blaring as he stumbled out of bed, a headache stomping through his brain. He walked to the medicine counter in his bathroom and took an Advil, the throbbing in his skull reducing to a minor pulse. He went back over to his closet, pulling on a set of clean clothes.

He looked back to the alarm clock. Late. He ran out the door, around the corner and down the stairs. Exiting the complex, he ran down the street and around a corner, pushing a man aside.

HQ was in the distance now. He kept running, stopping next to two Legionaires discussing something. He leaned against a wall a couple feet away, catching his breath.

Having steadied himself, he turned to the two. "So, what's going on?"

Damn I can let more people get mixed up in this. Sally thought to herself. "Nothin much." She said hoping that the man, who she presumed was a Legionnaire, would believe the lie.

That lie was terrible. she thought turning. "After you." She said to Jacob, hoping he would get the hint.
