The Retron 5 and compatibility

I was thinking of getting a retron 5, but I hear there's some compatibility issues due to it being a glorified emulator (done so it can properly scale to HD resolutions & touch up sprites and such). Is there a list of compatible games?, and will it work for Romhacks? (Rose Colored Gaming has an absolutely badass physical release of Zelda: Goddess of Wisdom and Zelda: Parallel Worlds, and I want to know if they'll work due to being A Link to the Past hacks).

There's a compatibility list on Google Docs and Reddit suggests that playing roms is possible, meaning that rom hacks should be possible too. I'd assume the Retron 5 is able to play reproduction cartridges too, which is ideal if you want a 'physical' copy of a fangame or translated game...

I'd suggest looking up some reviews of the hardware first though.
