Counter point thought, if the AI bubble burst, there's going to be a lot of leftover gear and unused capacity. So maybe it'll be a golden age in a couple of years (months?).

Honestly, I don't think the LLM bubble will burst in the same way most of the others have. Too many governments are investing in the technology for the purpose of national defence, intelligence and law enforcement and once you get an 'in' with those markets there needs to be a truly catastrophic failure from which you can draw a straight line between it and the disaster to have it rolled back. And even then, governments are big fans of sunk cost fallacy.

Unfortunately you are probably right. The reward for the first company to really get it right is just too great in the popular conciseness.

I find it hilarious how this looks more like a box than anything Xbox has ever put out. I also find the new Steam controller hilariously ugly. Is anyone even using those trackpads on their Steam Decks?

I am EXTREMELY tempted, depending on the price. Even if it's not upgradeable as a real PCs, this looks like so much less of a headache. If I had one of these, I could have actually kept playing video games instead of sorting through the trash for games playable on Mac.
Thinking it’s intentional seeing as Gabe ditched his MS gig to found Steam in the first place.
