As you may have heard, the drummer of Avenged Sevenfold- James Owen Sullivan, died on the 28th of this month. He was considered one of the best drummers of all time.

I agree, do you guys? If not, who would you consider to be?

I just read that he died yesterday ]: RIP REV!
I loved their music, and he was amazing :/

Not sure about the best, but Neil Peirt is definitely amazing and one of my influences.

Didn't know who he was until I read that, but my facebook has exploded with "RIP REV".
Cheers for saying who he was before I asked peers and lost street cred.

I like a7x, they are well technical musically, but I listen to guitar more than drums so wouldn't notice.
Still feel worse about this than most of the "celebrates" I read about dying every week.

as for the best drummer, never heard of the guy till he died, so really not that great of a drummer. gonna have to say Dave Lombardo, Danny Carey, Phil Collins and Neil Pert and several others beat him to the title of that
