I just came across this trailer on youtube. It's for the upcoming movie "The Road".
I have heard this title a couple of times here on the escapist when people were talking about books so i thought some of you may find this interesting.

Heh, it does sound like that but it could very well be someone screaming. It has that yelling sound to it. Also did 1:37 give anyone a LOTR vibe?. Definite Aragorn moment there!.

Erm, it comes out November 25th in America.

Anyhow, I have no idea this works as a movie. If you've read the book, I think you know what I'm talking about.

The scream is a famous when I think, it's in a lot of things.
I think the reason it has an Aragorn vibe, is that the lead actor is Viggo Mortensen, the actor who played Aragorn.

The road is one of Cormac McCarthy best novels,it has won the Pulitzer prize in 2006 when it came out and is an international success,i am having high hopes for this considering that his other film adaption 'No country for old Men" has won the Oscar in 2007.(check it out on wikipedia if you want to know more about it)

Wow. Great marketing job whoever is releasing this movie. I am just now hearing about a movie that is coming out in 4 days that is an adaptation of a Pulitzer and whose last book that was a adapted to a movie won 4 academy awards. You would think they would shove marketing down our throats based on pedigree alone.

As for the trailer, I am only somewhat interested, and somewhat more interested when I remember it is based off a Cormac McCarthy book. Still, it looks like it might be a bad movie and I think I will want to hear an opinion from some people before I go out to see it.

No, I knew that!. I mean the whole dark background, light on the face scene is exactly like his scene in LOTR:FOTR.

It looks alright, but I wasn't a massive fan of the book to be honest.

Is it sad that I'm way more excited for Ninja Assassin?? IT'S GOT RAIN IN IT 8D
