While I was lying in my bed last night unable to sleep, my eyes began to wander the room. They settled on the two boxes of tea bags sitting on my bedside cabinet. My mind then moved onto the unused "T-qualizer" under my bed, and the inflatable hammer sheathed in a poster tube.

All this random crap I have in my room (that I have either been too lazy to do something about, or completely forgotten why I have it in the first place) got me thinking about what other people may have stored up in their own rooms.

So I ask you, people of the Escapist, any oddities in your room?

A one handed warhammer. No seriously, it looks like that when carried appropriately. Else it's just a wine carrier with room enough for six bottles.

Heh, I got

- A Funnel Web Spider in a jar, all pickled and stuff
- A piece of the set from The Mummy (Its from the tomb)
- I have a cable that has been into space (my dad's company was employed to hang a Souyz-T module in a museum and they had to strip out all the useless stuff to get the weight down)
- A big pile of old computer bits and pieces which I am never ever going to use, ever, but can't bring myself to throw away

Sweet Jesus where do I start...

A silicone cast of my hand giving the bird.

Parts to an old Honda Civic that I need to get rid of.

A tall glass full of broken sun flower seed shells.

Samsung 52 inch 1080P DLP TV.

A Wok.

A platter from a 200 megabyte 5.5 inch form factor, with "Fail" carved on it.

A shrine to the best thing ever concived by mankind in the last ten years, nay ever, Chrono Cross. included in the shrine, is all the game disks in their original package that has been hermetically sealed, a coppy of the original sound track, and a rather rare clock with the "C" emblem on the face.

AND

A 3d Darth Vader puzzle wearing a court jesters hat.

Nah.

Okay, there is a karate suit lying on the floor, a katana on the wall, a persian dagger on my desk next to bed, my dog lying on the bed, some random crap (Neverwinter Nights 2 dvd box, which I found yesterday in my cellar, Sony Ericsson K770 box, unnamed DvD, a bottle of water) and I think that a big, glass frog may be considered strange.

Oh, and a picture of my classmates with my 4 friends and 25 girls.

Well, I got a fairly obscure book collection on my desk consisting of, The Gulag Archipelago, The Divine Comedy, 2010, The Iliad, and some other ones I can't think of, a fairly large boom box next to my bed, a couple of antique swords from India, a nice dagger, a fancy short-sword, a tonto, a bass guitar I hardly use, a subwoofer I use as a footrest, a Mr. T bobblehead, a big framed picture of the schematics of the NCC Enterprise 1701 D, and the coolest/oddest thing I have in my room is an old defused antique bomb painted like a shark. Freakin' sweet.

A Copper and Pewter, Don Quixote themed chessboard from Toledo, Spain; A baseball signed by the 2001 New York Yankees; a globe made from semi-precious stones; silver whiskey flask; military cap; painting of the Moulin Rouge. Needless to say I'm a man of fine tastes.

Ummm... My mum's troll thingies she gave to me, two small TVs, 6 game consoles, a Disney Quasimodo plastic doll, a doll house full of plushies and lots of other bits of junk I don't know what to do with... and of course all the cool stuff on my bedside cabinet. And finally... A Ukulele.

I'm also incredibly proud of my Twilight Princess figurines:

Right in front of where I'm sitting:

- A toy from a Kinder egg, given to me by my housemate to satisfy some kind of in-joke - it's basically a guy in the lotus position with a screen for a face that you can flick between happy and sad... eh, I'll show you:

- A stylophone.
- A TARDIS money box.
- A random T-Mobile SIM card, seemingly with no owner. I can't get it to work on my phone to check whose it might be, and nobody that's been in my room appears to be missing one.
- A ringpull from a can of sugar-free Red Bull.
- A thermally insulated mug, full of spare change.
- A Vault Boy bobblehead that came with Fallout 3.
- A metal Vault-Tec lunchbox that contained the above.
- A piece of granite. I have no idea.
- Dozens of packets of chewing gum.
- A 750g tub of salt.

That's just the shelves, which also contain books, games, CDs and DVDs... and other more mundane crap. I could continue for a while longer if I could be bothered to sift through the crap in the desk.

I am so envious of you right now...

The only odd thing in my room right now is my Xmas tree that's still up; I know it's almost February, but I'm too lazy to take it down...
