The Saddest movie you have ever seen

I ask this question because I just finished watching UP, which had me crying enough to lead me to the conclusion I am now severely dehydrated, and the noises of the construction site above my flat are making me well up as we speak. I put it to you, what film has made you cry more than any other, and remember, This is the anonymous internet. Nobody can directly Judge you for crying.

And If they directly judge you for crying at UP they are either made of stone or Reapers.

Saddest movie? Well, I'm not sure if it was MEANT to be sad. Depressing, yes, very much so. I was watching it in the dark in the middle of the night with a friend of mine, and even after the credits rolled we were both just sitting there, unsure of what to do or say.

The movie 'Buried'.

InB4 anyone else say Grave of the Fireflies. The last scene made my eyes water up and I never cry in a film.

Also that Nicolas Cage film Leaving Las Vega was quite a depressing film but not enough for me to cry for.

UP's prologue was a bit touching, but it was no Clannad after story.

Samurai X Trust and Betrayal. It is filled with a ton of pathos and guilt.

It's not hard to make me cry at a film, but the film that made me the absolute saddest was Schindlers List. Especially that scene Liam Neeson does, if you've seen the film you know what I'm talking about.

I don't know if any other film will ever beat that one.

Ugh, Grave of the Fireflies already mentioned twice. Well I'm not going to start railing on that movie another time.

My pick has to be Up as well. Specifically the first 20 minutes or so of that film where you see the life of the old man. I was not prepared for how moving that was going to be, even from Pixar.

I'm too tired right now to think of anything more original than that. To be honest I don't think I've seen enough movies to be able to anyway. I find most movies pretty fucking shit.

Bridge to Terabithia. Expected a fantasy film for kids. Nothing too deep. Left practically sobbing my eyes out for the last half hour.

Also I expected more Zooey Deschanel from that film. That too made me sad.

Okay, next saddest is Summer Wars. It's all fun and games for the first half and then boom!

Grandma dies...

After that happens, I was crying a little because the scene afterwards is really effective at pulling on your heartstrings.
