I think a film that manages to make you feel sorry for Hitler & Friends is doing something right.

The Notebook is so god damn depressing.

It start's off as your typical cliché romance film, but then slowly turns in to one of the most soul crushing movies of all time.

It sure as hell chocked me up a few times, especially since dementia does indeed destroy a couples love for each other.

Requiem for a Dream. Absolutely depressing stuff. Though highly effective at making its point and a damn fine amazing movie.

Definitely. I watched that with my friend, and at the end of it we were both just kind of like, ".....Whoa".
