The R.Y.N.O V, it's blatantly overpowered they did not try to balance this thing. That said it's so satisfying to use. That or the Groovitron. Or the Negotiator.
I was partial to the Rift inducer 5000 myself =D

"The Rift Inducer 5000 was created to fill the death-by-interdimensional-being niche. The being, named ?Fred? by our engineers, enjoys moonlight strolls along the beach, reading and mauling unsuspecting enemies with brutal efficiency. Whoa! Look at that. Fred must be hungry. The Rift Inducer 5000! Available only at GrummelNet!"

Was probably the most satisfying and most fun I've had in a long time :D
Yup, that. :D

On a related note, starting an Engineer character in Guild Wars 2 and using his flamethrower. I couldn't resist to put on the same track every time I used it.

I know it's not a very good game, but the throwable weapons in Hitman: Absolution are pretty fun. Throwing a syringe into someone's head from the other side of the room couldn't be funnier.

For me, it would probably be the 1887 from Far Cry 3. This thing made clearing out the village at the end of the drug burning mission easily one of the most satisfying thing's I've done in a game in a long, even surpassing Komodo Dragon hunting with the pump-action grenade launcher.

Also the pot farm burning mission in Far Cry 3. You know the one.
M-M-M-Multi Ninja!

Daystar nailed my exact feelings regarding the drug-burning mission. Intensely satisfying, incredibly fun, and one of the few times where the music truly enhanced not just the mood, but, indescribably, the *gameplay* as well.

That said, that's just the most satisfying *mission.* The most satisfying weapon, for me, is the pump-fed grenade launcher from the same game. The aiming is precise, and each boom just sounds and feels so right, especially when exploding multiple pirates from a distance and seeing all of the markers suddenly scrambling around.

Hell, a good number of the guns in Far Cry 3 just feel so powerful when used effectively. The above-mentioned 1887, the Ripper (LMG), the RPG, the recurve (explosive bolt)...I'm salivating just thinking about them.

...I'm gonna go play me some FC3.

Pretty self-explanatory, really.
Share the weapon you've had the most fun with or were most satisfied by in a game.

For me, it would probably be the 1887 from Far Cry 3. This thing made clearing out the village at the end of the drug burning mission easily one of the most satisfying thing's I've done in a game in a long, even surpassing Komodo Dragon hunting with the pump-action grenade launcher. While it's not particularly challenging to use, like the recurve bow, but when every trigger pull feels like it unleashes some sort of divine wrath upon your foes if so much as vaguely look at them, it doesn't really matter.

So, that's me. What about you?

I'm going to have to agree with Daystar on that one, there was something just infinitely satisfying about burning weed plantations to the ground with a flamethrower.
The rest of the game the flamethrower was meh, but at that one point... BURN!!!

Overall most satisfying will also come from Farcry 3. Its not the 1887. Sure, its a decent gun, but its nothing compared to the long range death I deal with this baby:

The signature Z93 Anti-Materials Rifle.
Got an enemy anywhere in the world?
One shot, dead. No matter what, no matter wear, no matter when. Shoot any normal footsoldier and they fly back several metres. Shoot a heavy and they just drop dead. Shoot a car and it explodes. Shoot a boat and it explodes. Shoot a Helicopter, it explodes. Shoot next to a car and it flips over, then explodes.
No matter what you are fighting, if you could use it properly this baby was a 1 hit kill. Slightly harder to use thanks to the lack of crosshairs in the scope, but you got used to that quickly enough. The only downside is the noise. I went from stealthily assassinating all the hard to kill enemies in a base with my silenced sniper, to knifing them all and exploding the rest. Late game I just knifed everyone 'cause I could and it was fun with all the knife combos you could do.
I remember getting a 4 person chain knife, turning around and seeing a beserker coming at me mid-assassination of the last one, and throwing that guys knife at him to take him out. Never managed to get the pistol assassination to work properly; I'd draw it, but never be able to fire it, although I did use the grenade assassination to take down those cursed guard dogs at times, and as a distraction to let me get behind a sniper and slit his throat.

I would go for the Ripper from Unreal Tournament

I'm not even sure why - I actually suck with using it, but, man, it's just so awesome. It's firing spinny disk of razory death, and if you use the alternative fire, the disks explode. So no, it's not shooting shurikens and lightning, it's shurikens and explosions!
That was one of my favourite weapons as well, ain't nothing like a good chakram to split necks with...

A blast of six rockets at the same time was more satisfying than the redeemer, probably because of the way you have to charge it up, I think you get the same effect with longbows in a lot of games, where it takes a bit of time to pull the string.

However I hated TF2s Huntsman because of the way it'd go inaccurate if you held it drawn for too long, the resulting pressure took the fun out of it.

I'd like to mention the bastard gun of Metro 2033, I just loved the way it seemed all rickety and alive, and how you could see the magazine going through it.

The Penetrator drill launcher from Bulletstorm.

Especially, when I was fighting Burnouts and got 5 of them lined up for a legendary 2500 point shishkebab skillshot which also shattered my old record of 1800 points for a flyswatter skillshot.

My own fists in Oblivion. I recently picked it up off of the Steam summer sale, and I must say, punching people's faces in, or blasting them with fireballs, is immensely satisfying. Using a sword or bow just doesn't have the same sort of oomph as punching things, and I can just use magic for anything that I can't punch.

Lately ? Sticky grenades in Spec Ops: The Line

Some others I could remember:
Single Desert Eagle in Max Payne (I'm partial to handguns since I'm boring like that. I know there are better examples I just can't think of any now)
Stake launcher from Painkiller
Nemean Cestus in God of War 3
M-490 Blackstorm (black hole launcher) from Mass Effect 2
Kar-98 in every incarnation ever ;)

My upgraded hunting shotgun in stalker clear sky. It's got the accuracy mod so I'm regularly getting headshots with it and one-hit killing human enemies, those damb dogs though.

The Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) in Brothers in Arms, the gun is so satisfying to use and sounds just amazing.

Nearly finished with my first Dark Souls playthrough.

The thief's knife is loads of fun. Always loved fast, bladed weapons. Being able to get quick cuts in is great for a game like this, and the bleed damage is immense; extremely useful, and always satisfying to hear that gushing bleed trigger sound that makes you know you just fucked a sentinal's shit up.

Dark souls also has some of the most excellent backstab/reposte animations, and the knife is great for that.
I actually came here to say this, it's the best dagger in the game and they give it to you right off the bat if you pick the Thief. Bandit's Knife plus Hornet Ring; a successful riposte will kill most anything, and when you're hacking away at a boss and get that crit and your damage just jumps up like nobody's business, yesss.
Priscilla's Dagger is pretty good, too. Not as good as the Bandit's Knife, overall, but it has fantastic bleed and the attack animation for it looks pretty awesome. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmruifnBqPc&feature=player_detailpage#t=865s]

Any melee weapon in Hotline Miami.

The Hunting Rifle in Fallout 3. I don't know why, its not a particularly good gun in terms of stats, but there's just something satisfying about shooting it. Even though they forgot to put any sort of sight on it.

I'm playing boarderlands 2 as commando and there is nothing better than charging around the battle fields with a shotgun getting in close and blowing a bandits head off.

The poisonous rice cake from the Tenchu series.

Racist? yes. Satisfying to watch them slowly die before giving a merciful knife to the throat? oh yes.

I have been replaying my first character in Dark Souls (Strength/Dex build) and I've recently started re-using my flame battleaxe +5 because it was my first sucessful weapon acension (hadnt ever used the wikia at that point) and the riposte move after the parry is so visceral... A powerful blow to the gut follwed by a ferocious blow to the head on the standard grunt or black/silver knight, followed by a bout of flames
TOASTY !

I love using the morning star mace, or similar one-handed maces. Got such a HOOF to it.
