What I wanna know is why there is a numlock key on my laptop keyboard when there is NO NUMBER PAD!
Most laptop keyboards have a numpad overlaid over the right side of your alphabet keys. Numlock will make those keys send numbers.

Oh woah, you're right. I never even noticed those things before. Thank you.

I still don't know why sometimes it seems at random my computer will switch all the Alternative key functions on a specific program.
I'm typing something and I press Shift+/ and it makes a Capitalized é. No idea why it does it or how to reverse it other than restarting the program in question. And it happens on Firefox, 3Ds Max, Photoshop, Steam, everything.

probly selected canadian english, instead of us english

for some reason programs will use the mappings for the french canadian keyboards, that have the accented e and such

as for the topic, i totally forgot what some of those keys did, ahhh the good old days of computing when there was 2 colour monitors, you had choices between green/black, cyan/black or grey/black

there is a lot of throwbacks to the old ibm days, such as ctrl+alt+del is one of them, actually it's an easter egg
