The Simpsons Get the Minecraft Treatment

Meh, despite everyone's lukewarm reactions to this, I found it quite entertaining.

I'm just surprised that Minecraft can do this much.



... Then again, after the L4D mod, I should stop being surprised.

I for one wasn't really that impressed. Having said that, kudos to them for getting what they could done. Sure there is no cars in Minecraft, but I would have made a car interior out of colored wool and shot it like that. It's nothing I'm going to link to all my friends, but it is sure miles better then I could have done.

Main problem I noticed was the part where Bart was to be chased off the road by Marge and had to hang around for a second or 2 to wait for it. Should have re-shot that scene.

I am pretty sure that falls into the 'so bad it's bad' category.

At some point one of the creators should have said "you know what, this looks like total crap."

Completely agree. This isn't even worth the vague publicity of the Escapist. Especially not as a front page article.

I guess I am baffled by the people that are amazed by Minecraft creations. Sure, they take a ton of time to create, but look nothing like what they are trying to emulate. I guess it's for people big into Minecraft. I see the appeal of the game, but these take offs on pop culture just look awful.

Both of you, go back in the archive and find the folks who are building Tolkien's Middle Earth by hand on a Minecraft server. THAT was impressive. They deserved any ounce of recognition they got.

i do remember seeing that before, and yeah it's damn impressive, but doesn't mean i can't show the little guy some respect too, it's better than what i do in minecraft so i don't see the point of acting all snooty about it.
