I know that the first thing most of us do when we get a new Sims game is make a guy or gal who looks a little bit like us and try and teach them to make macaroni and cheese without summoning the grim reaper.
Instead of the PC version, for Christmas my mother bought me a DS and the sims 2. It was okay as a game but I could only customise one character a little (I gave her brown hair and a black jacket and jeans) and I could choose between a few actions - all in all it felt a little bit too much like a sandbox game. I had to do things to progress, (though I could dress up as a rat which was pretty cool) and I unlocked areas by earning so much money for my hotel. I have always wanted there to be a thorough ?The Sims? experience on my X box (or Wii or Ds or PS3, no discrimination here). This is mainly because my PC has trouble running solitaire.
So riddle me this (if that phrase is applicable), how well do you think Sims 3 will translate across to consoles? Will it just be another Sims 2?
I personally don?t think the point and click approach will work on a console, and I can?t see how it will compare to the original PC version.
Let me know what you think.
And while we're talking about it, was the Sims 3 an improvement on 2?
