Personally, i LOVE the sims. It is an amazing piece of gaming experience which i think eveyone should enjoy. I havent purchased The Sims 3 yet but i dont know whether or not too. I have heard some bad things about it, i mean sure there is destined to be the odd glitche to appear within the first few months but a few of my friends have said the gameplay is now awkward.

Does any one have any thoughts on whether or not i should get the game?
P.S If i do get it i will be purchasing it for the PC and i need to know if and when the Xbox 360 will be releasing a version.

Peace out to the Game Community.

I love the Sims, mainly because of this brilliant article. [http://www.cracked.com/blog/exploring-the-mysteries-of-the-mind-with-the-sims-3/] I mean, that stuff is just pure gold man.

I have it and it's awesome, yeah there's a bit of a learning curve with some of the new features and some of the old ones don't work quite the same as in sims 2, but once it clicks you will not be able to stop playing so if you have any holiday due take it now and go nuts.

Sims 3 is an undeniably good game. You can complain about it (I complain mostly about the lacking of certain hairstyles/content/expansion pack material), but really sims 3 improves a lot of Sims 2 core gameplay. In short, if you like Sims, you'll probably like it.

If you're not sure, rent it out or if you can, download a demo of it or something to see if the game control is awkward

If you want to stay true to your loyalty, then put on your brave face and purchase the game. I've heard amount of things you can do in the game is quite extraordinary though.

I say buy it. It can give you countless hours of fun and it improves on a lot. So yes, go out and buy it.

If you love the Sims series as it progressed then from what I have seen you will love Sims 3 too.

Sadly it went in the wrong direction to fit my tastes.
