I've been getting those in my email for years now. The last one I got was "from" a US serviceman in Iraq who looted saddams palace and needed a place to hide the money until he returned home.
If it's not legit, they steal your shit.
If it is legit, you are in violation of international law.

I don't see how it could possibly go wrong. Do it!

I haven't gotten any of these PMs, but Thanks! Now I can look out for those horribly obvious PMs with worse grammar than a poorly translated anime!

And everyone's right, this scam is known by everyone. Why bother continuing? I guess people must still be stupid enough to fall for it. Oh well, they're not my problem.

Edited because, oh the irony. I misspelt several words.

I like how the first line rhymes, it's emphasises how smooth the transition between giving my bank details and losing my shit will be.

I've been getting those emails that claim to be from UPS, FedEx, the Post Office, etc., claiming you have a delivery and providing a link in the email.

Nothing more than virus dumpers for the gullible.

Note* As one of the gullible, had to get a new computer after the virus fried my last one :\

On the Bay 12 forums they duplicate threads and posts, reword them slightly, and put spam links in their signatures. It's actually pretty clever. At least, it would be if it didn't result in two posts next to each other with the same meaning but really bad spelling in one of them.

The world will not be taken over by robots, zombies, or even war. It will be by self-aware spambots that will crash the internet itself... and doom the world.

Meanwhile, I still have to punch in a captcha every few posts to prove that I, a member who's been posting for years now, have not suddenly turned into a spambot, apparently.

We are not spambots. We are carbon based life forms of the inferior Homo sapiens species, not the superior hive mind of DX32568 v.7.08. Go home, go into sleep mode, and dream of nuclear detonations as the cleanse the world of you damn, dirty apes.

I think it's worth noting that not all spam is actually spam.

I recall recently I got a stanrded spammish PM on youtube asking for feedback on a video.

Much to my suprise, It was actually a relveant and well made video.

Dear associate,
The bank directors mandated me to look for any known relation of our late client who deposited a enormous amount of money in our bank without claim; I don't want this money to go into our treasury as unclaimed bills, the banking law and guidelines here stipulate that if such money remains unclaimed after eight years, I am authorized to preparing documents officially to prove that this money have been transferred to out treasure, this will be between me and you, the request of foreigner is occasioned by the fact the depositor was a foreigner, In appreciation of your assistance, I request you send to me your direct phone number for easy communication, and reply me through my private email addresses([email protected] or [email protected] for more confidentiality, waiting to read from you soon,
Thanks,

Anyone else gotten one of these on the site yet?
More often than not those are actual people, not bots.

Kinda makes you sad, huh?
