So, I think it's about time that we made one universal thread to vent about those around us.

There was this girl in my 7th grade who told me that popularity and quality are absolutely mutually exclusive inclusive (though in words not nearly as intelligible). Therefore, every indie band is absolute shite while the kings and queens of musical genius are, you guessed it, Justin Bieber and Ke$ha.

I just want to build up on this and say...there is something wrong with people who like Bob Dylan. I listen...for about five seconds, then I have to drown it out with an accordian, which is fortunate since I DO like Weird Al. But...music and singing is suppose to be a thing that flows well. Even Death Metal flows. Bob Dylan is sand paper over a bed of nails going down the Rocky Mountains...but other people like him.

Sir, I just clicked on this, and I have an unrelenting urge to kill you for showing it to me. Don't take it personal, it's just a subconscious thing.

Anyway, I have this friend on Facebook who posts the most retarded things in some hideous mutation of what I can only assume is the English language, all of which are about his girlfriend who he apparently breaks up with on a weekly basis (only to get back together immediately).

Gems include "You know people come and go and love stay with that person that u love. Hurts when u see them go and happy when you see them. But when you know there are gone hurts the most. Always love my true love angel" and "Facebook she it is childes but she does wat is childes double stander to me do as u say not the opposite" (both talking about his girlfriend).

To the guy's credit, he's never been anything but nice to me. But I can't help but find this hilarious.

OT: I remember I got into a joking argument with another guy. I forget what it was even about.
Anyway, the conversation basically progressed to the part where I sarcastically said "shut up, your opinions is WRONG!"

Another dude butted in and told me I'm incredibly stupid because opinions can't be wrong because they're opinions

Also, I counter the OP's example with kids I've met who think anything popular/pop is horrible shit and if you listen/like any of it you're a major tool. And then they proceed to listen to their edgy alternative rock that is basically the same three mashed chords repeated over and over to lyrics about how the singer hates _____.

Seriously, I can't really think of anyone stupider. And it's not because he has autism, no, that would mean I would be insulting every sensible person who has autism. Including myself. This man though, this Christian Weston Chandler. There is so much to talk about this guy I don't have time to explain it all.

I guess for starters I'll talk about his abomination, Sonichu.

He actually believed that his hybrid of Sonic and Pikachu would actually form a franchise he could make money off of. He claims it's a "parody" so he can't actually get in trouble for it. Then some people decided to make their own parodies of Sonichu. This got Chris all pissy and claimed that they were stealing his creation. Even though he himself was trying to make money off of two characters that didn't belong to him. Both of which appeared in his comic.

Because of his antics, he's a pretty big target for trolling, and many people pretended they were girls on the internet that were interested in him. And he falls for it again and again and again. And sometimes, he just makes things worse for himself by doing even more stupid things.

An example would be when he was trying to intimidate another troll, by posting a video claiming he is as weak as the World Trade Centers.


And don't even get me started on his sex tapes. Seriously. DON'T.

I was driving my girlfriend home and this jackwagon who doesn't know how to drive with a trailer thats hitched to the back rips my driver side rear view clean off. He then goes on to take off the rear view of the car behind me and smash in the driver window as well. He then proceeded to carry on his merry way without stopping.

Yeah I'm none too happy right now...

If two things are 'mutually exclusive' it means they can't exist together. Therefore, if she thought that popularity and quality are absolutely mutually exclusive, that would mean that she believes something that is popular cannot possibly be good, and something that is good can never be popular.

Ooh, I've got one! I managed to get into a conversation with a guy at the place I used to work. This, I feel the need to add, is a guy who I'd put at about thirty at least, AND with an adult son who also worked with us.

I met a dude in college who was as dumb as a brick half the time. Like, thought that L2 or R2 on a PS2 controller meant you had to hit all four of the shoulder buttons and believed it took games on average two years to complete.

The exact phrasing would be close to "well if a band is like more popular than another band, that means that they are like obviously more better". I guess my post was just on a different plane of stupidity then.
