Congrio. I think it's called the red cusk-eel in English -- I do know it's one of the fish in the cusk-eel group (Ophidiidae), scientific name Genypterus Chilensis. It's not really an eel, though it sure does look like one.

That looks like a dogfish to me. We get dogfish where I live, they're a trash fish, and they can get up to like 3 feet long.
