So I noticed in the behind the avatar thread that there were a few of you with ink, and figured it would be cool to have a thread dedicated to the tattoos.

Do you have any tattoos? If so post a pic! Then tell us the meaning/story (if any) and where you got it done.

Bonus points for geeky tatts.

Edit: Also feel free to post any tattoo ideas you want in the future!

I'll get the ball rolling with my friend here who lives on my arm:

He was drawn by a friend of mine who has only been apprenticing for 4 months! Port Chalmers is one of the locations featured in Call of Cthulhu and is very near my adopted home. Coincidentally it's also where that tattoo artist lives. The design is based on the work of an artist I really dig, Melita Curphy.

Though neither my Brotherhood of Steel nor my Megaman tattoo is visible in that pic.

Edit: Found one which shows at least the BoS-logo. What do I win?

Edit 2: Though if Lovecraft counts as 'nerdy' then I guess this would be another one:

Bloody hell, RealityCrash. From now on, in my mind, you are a super-enhanced cyborg pirate, taking up Gatenhielm's mantle and beating people up in some illegal dockside bar in the weekends.

As for me, a tattoo is a project for the future, really. Can't really afford it at the moment. I don't have too ambitious plans. A cogwork, where it seems to fit the best, is the idea. It's on the list.

While few things look as dreadful as a bad tattoo, few things looks as great as a good one.

I think I'm gonna ask someone to pay for a tatt for my birthday in March.

I want Harley's three diamonds, one set in red, one set in black. Dunno if I want them on my arms or legs, aiming for my arms though but I don't know where about.

I once accidentally stabbed myself in the thumb with a fineliner.

The dot still remains etched in my skin.

I have no idea what the Gatenhielm-reference is about, but I like it!
Feels Shadowrun-y enough for me.

The Kusari flag on my right forearm.

My favorite Pokemon on my left shoulder.

I'm thinking of getting a Canadian maple leaf on my ankle and a Tetris block in the future. Nothing definite.

Behold my cheap ass Mario & Luigi tats. I told my tattoo artist friend that did them, that I wanted a unique take on them & I'm quite happy with the result.
Warning VERY BIG PICS Sorry for the crap quality.

And my first tattoo that wasn't so cheap.

I have my own date of birth in Roman numerals around the bottom of my leg/ankle. With a music symbol at the top and a tiny jester at thr bottom. The music symbol is for my mother and the jester is for my dad who died a few years ago.

I am going for another on my back soon, its a picture of my WOW Warlock character who i personally think looks awesome

after that I shall be getting a sleeve dedicated to Pheonix rising from the ashes

He was a Gothenburg-based pirate king pin, basically. Well, a "privateer", technically, he was allowed to pirate as he wished as long as the targets happened to be Danish. With the sci-fi pirate vibes, perhaps it'd be a tradition worth reviving, eh? :3

"A shipment of new ipads, eh? Don't mind if I do, Danes!"

Haha, oh yes, a most worthy notion.

I always feel quite out of place in my age group because I don't like tattoos at all X3. I'm certainly facinated by them, and some of them can be incredibly striking pieces of art, but I don't think a tattoo on a person looks good, and I usually don't find someone with a tattoo atractive (it can actually be a bit of a turn-off for me). I don't know why I feel that way, especially considering nearly all people my age that I know absolutely love them, but I really don't! I quite like piercings, but not for the face.

NOT THAT I THINK LESS OF YOU AS A PERSON DISCLAIMER DISCLAIMER, I'm just saying that I wouldn't find you very atractive physically and I can't help that I'm afraid...

I've got this exact one tattooed on my left hand, but it's a little faded

I also want to get this tattooed on my stomach

But without the Red Wings Logo.

I'm also planning on getting one on my forearm, of a guitar, with a Joe Strummer quote wrapped around it.

Just gotta save up money though
