So with valve's new little update to submit community content (or whatever it is, don't really get it) I decided that us non-modder types should have a little fun.

Thus, this competition.

The rules:
ANY FORM OF UNLOCKABLE IS ALLOWED
Ignore anything in this post or the others saying otherwise, but try and keep it characteristic of the class. <3

MULTIPLE ENTRIES ARE ALLOWED.

Guns must follow this rubric as well.

Name:
Class:
Weapon Type:
Slightly comical tagline:
Description:
Picture:
Pros:
Cons:

I'll be the judge of your creations, and shall decide the winners as well as prized 2 weeks from now on Saturday evening.

Now for you non-artsy types, try Pimpmygun.doctornoob.com, it makes things easy.

Any kind of picture is allowed as long as it atleast resembles a gun. Melee weapons are available too. ;D

So there we go, i'll give a brief example ;3

Name: Matricide
Class: Sniper
Weapon Type: Sniper Rifle
Slightly Comical Tagline: Mum finally put him over the edge, time to show her what a day on the job is like.
Description: A long range, high caliber, high zoom guaranteed kill sniper rifle. The catch? It can only be fired while scoped in, only 10 bullets are provided with a slow firing rate, and after which all the bullets are exhausted, any further attempts at firing will cause the gun to explode and possibly kill the sniper. Adding on, the monopod serves as a spike to be impaled into the ground before scoping in, allowing for steadier aiming while essentially making the sniper a stationary turret. Trying to move will only rotate the gun along the trackball, allowing for 360 vision while having to keep absolutely still. Essentially, you're a sitting duck.

Beautiful, isn't it?
Pros: Beautiful
Gun is much bigger in reality
Instant kill bullets
bigger zoom
Real product adorned with Man co. logo

Cons: Slow fire rate
Possibility to kill self
Sitting duck when zoomed in
Long set up time

Mebbe keep a bodyguard alongside you?

That's just an example, i will judge the guns as they come ^^

Let the contest begin!

Your gun already has too much going on for it to be a TF2 weapon. Keep it simple imo.

That was just an example, pimp my gun doesn't do much in terms of low detail either, so sorry =3

Does it have to be a gun? Or can it just be an unlock that isn't necessarily a weapon?

Well here's one unlock I've already posted numerous times, but what the hell. I can't come up with anything else.

Telespringer
Engineer unlock
Teleporter replacement

Basically it replaces the teleporter entrance and exit with 2 spring-loaded teleporters that launch allies into the air. One would launch the player vertically, while the other would launch the player horizontally. Both can be built much quicker than the normal teleporter entrance and exit and have a shorter recharge time. Upgrading these devices only increases their health.

The use of the Telespringer is that it can be quickly deployed to help your team advance into enemy territory or gain a height advantage. It would be helpful in situations in which a regular teleporter serves no purpose and it can be used effectively on both defense and offense. It grants the Engineer the ability to temporairly give his team more mobility. However it would not overshadow that capabilities of the normal teleporter has it serves a very different purpose.

So yeah crap picture, but at least this item would be worth a damn.

You realize Valve doesn't take submissions from various forumgoers.
They mean REAL MODDERS like people who can script/mod for TF2. People like Tony Paloma...

Idea: I pick a lasso

Class: The engineer.

Description: First he locks onto a target, then a three second animation in the third person could show him twirling the lasso and hurling it. From a distance of about ten metres or less he could rope someone in close to him. Once he pulled them in they would be tied up for about five seconds and this could bring a whole new level of necessity for the engineer

Pros: It would fit with his easy going Texan personality, it would be handy in close combat and it's a pretty cool weapon.

Cons: The charge time might prove a bit too long.

Possible picture:

Personally I think it would be awesome.

The Tailgunner

Class: Soldier
Type: Shotgun (TrenchGun)
Clip size: 8

I'll draw a picture later.

''There is no jumping in MY trenches!''

Comical tagline: ''You've just been grounded, Hippie!''

Pros:

Larger Clip
20% more damage when moving backwards.
Targets in the air fall down faster and take 20% more falling damage.
Full crit if every pellet hits it's target. (Extreme close range.)
30% more projectiles

Cons:

10% weaker than the normal shotgun
Much slower pump action.
Wider spread
Less damage per pellet
No random full crits.
Less ammo supply.
Insane damage falloff at ultra long range.

--

This idea is to defend areas against rocketjumpers, doublejumpers and stickyjumpers.
Instead of a knockback effect, it's a knockdown effect, grounding the victim.

Wow. How much would a full-crit do with this?

I like the pros and cons actually, they really do effect the engiee, but nothin' is stopping him from laser-critting, then shotgunning the remaining HP away.
