The TF2 WAR!

Anyone on this forum who plays Team Fortress 2 is bound to know about the Soldier-vs-Demoman WAR! update going on at the moment. What are your views? Is it a good idea? Who are you rooting for? Do you even care?

At the moment? No, I don't care as I play the Xbox 360 version and this update will not effect me as a result. It sucks to be a console player, but even the basic version is better then nothing I suppose.

I am rooting for the Demoman as he is my favorite class and this is a pretty interesting way to do an update.

Im going with the soldier. He is my 2nd best class, with the heavy my 1st best. Demoman is one of my worst.

Soldier is gonna win, but it doesn't matter to me, as I like them both equally. Great idea though, and the new creation system that is coming with it is gonna be nice.

Plus, I play a mean demoman, so him.

It's not the fact that Soldier's are better than Demomen, infact Demo's take more skill to truly master, it's just the sheer number of Soldier's compared to Demo's. My favourite class is Heavy, once got 430 points in an hour on #2fort, followed by Demo, then Spy.

I really want the Demoman to win. REALLY want to. So much so that I have yet to play soldier since this started. But he really has some odds stacked against him.

First 200 health vs 175 health. You really can't take out Soldiers in a straight fight. Ambush and high flying are your games.

Second, midrange is all about the shotgun. I love the Stickies but damn... ONE direct firing weapon would be great for the Demoman.

Third... He's Scottish. Do you realize what this means?! He is too drunk to win this war. It just isn't going to happen.

My opinion on the war? I hope both classes suffer a horrible sentry-related death.

As you can tell, I'm not to happy about my buildings constantly being blown up, usually by Demomen. I hate Demomen.

I would like the dmeo to win, since he actually takes more skill than the soldier but I think the soldier is going to win, Soldier= Higher Numbers X less skill Demo=Lower numbers X more skill.

I think scottish implies unconditional victory, drunk or not.

You're bound to know because the opening design or menu background, has completely changed to represent the fact. There are also numerous people talking about it in every server, a newspaper on the menu you can view, and if you have played as soldier or demo there has been a 'contribution' bar up the top.

Heh, or not. Remember when I said something 'bout enjoying the game? Sorry, Charlie, but I favor Pyro, Heavy, and Spy anyway.
