Phantasy Star Universe. After a frustrating and repetitive couple of first hours, I tried to switch class and see if ranged was more interesting than close-range combat. It was infinitely worse and I couldn't figure out how the ammo system worked in that game.

PSU was easily the biggest disappointment I've ever had in a game, considering how good Phantasy Star Online was. D:

I always hastily rage quit when fighting Seth in super street fighter 4's arcade mode. He's easily the cheapest boss I've ever fought.
Why? He's a somewhat buffed version of the regular character, and he gives you a free first round, giving you an opportunity to blow half his health with a Super the next round. :V

I agree that he's annoying, but he's probably the least cheap boss in the entire series imo. Gill in SF3, on the other hand...
(PS: if I sound condescending or something now, I apologize, I'm just curious)

Every time I lose a game of League of Legends.

Fuck that game.
You sure you're not masquerading as Rookie? Every single game we lose he sulks, goes offline for an hour, probably bitching about "lag" then comes back for another round after he's cheered up. It's like clockwork I swear XD

Still I would agree with LoL being a prime contender for a Fuck This Game Award. I only rage at people with a stupidly negative attitude, not the game itself. Except if it's Jax. Fuck Jax. Fuck Win Nao as well. Fuck Bitchcrank also. Free Win isn't all that bad though in my opinion.

I once "ragequitted" for a completely moral high ground reason. I was playing support Taric and my carry was fully convinced I was trying to lose. I'm not saying I was doing amazing but she was hardly the best AD Carry ever made. Plus my Leona was banned so I had to play my not so good Taric.

I'm not trolling just because I am spamming his joke endlessly. You have to! It's so awesome! GEMS ARE SO FUCKING OUTRAGEOUS!

After she typed yet another unending rage message I said something about her being an insufferable ass and good luck carrying without me if i'm so bad. Recalled to spawn, Alt+F4. Hope you learned something that day Miss Fortune... Hope you did.

Still it's a really good game when you're winning and/or it's a close game and/or you make some sick plays. Better yet, making a sick Katarina play while your team are going on about "zomg you weren't there in a teamfight even though we all decided to not help you take Dragon and sat in a bush for a good 10 seconds lol unskilled"

Inb4 me picking off the three people who survived the 4v5 in a totally professional Katarina play

The other team thought it was amazing. I got to be snarky to my team. Win/win
Wait, there's a League of Legends group here? HOW DID I MISS THIS?

COD: World at War on Veteran mode.

SO. MANY. GRENADES.

Seriously, there are some levels where if you sit in cover for longer than 3 seconds, fifteen grenades will land on your head. I wish that was an exaggeration.

Playing on a faction based PVP server in Minecraft. I spent many hours rebuilding the same bases, and digging the same mines because server owners reset everything whenever they suspect someone has been cheating. I had a chicken factory of my own design, and it contained thousands of the noisy buggers. Every one of them had been hatched with dispensers or by hand. The server owner was exploring with X-ray, saw my chicken farm, and accused me of witchcraft or something similar. Server reset to zero. Fuck that game.

Funny you should mention that. I was playing GTA IV just the other day and drove for ages to get to the mission only to fuck up straight away. Niko goes "Fuck this!", I choose to restart the mission only to be taken back to the start where I'd have to drive back again. I said "Fuck this, indeed" and turned my 360 off.

Also recently, Assassin's Creed 3. No real specific times. I tossed up just returning it most of the time I was playing it. I did end up finishing it but only the main story, none of the side-quest stuff.

Miss a link in the game winning combo, get hit by mashed ultra, lose round.

Fucking Street Fighter IV.

It's my fault for dropping the combo, and I respect the decision to mash the Ultra, but damn. Only in Street Fighter IV do you have such lenient reversal timing, and such a damaging reversal option.

Hah, looks like you guys have yet to play some SNK fighters. :p

SNK bosses are by far the cheapest in the business. They are all such bastards.

Space Chem.

You figure out a solution that doesn't completely blow up the entire world. You are about to celebrate, when you realize your solution is nowhere near as good as anyone else's solution. It takes the wind so completely out of your sales.

Conversely, there's no greater feeling than an above average solution.
Lol yeah Space Chem is like that. What I find worse is when you've finally worked out a solution during a multiple reactor level and you've made everything as efficient as you can and it runs perfectly except the system is getting backed up and you have to go and make bits less efficient to compensate.

Pretty much every fight in Dragon Age: Origins after the first level and Ostagaar. Seriously, fuck that system.

Mass Effect 2 and 3 have these annoying instances where I want Shepard to take cover, but the silly ***** vaults over the cover and into the fray where bullet enemas are free and plentiful.
I really agree with that for Dragon Age. Fights got extremely tedious very fast, more tedious than FFXIII too which is saying something. The writing was just dull and I eventually stopped playing as the whole thing felt like work rather than fun.

You can save anywhere you want in Dishonored...

Plus...

You know...

It has a... [HEADING=2]QUICK-SAVE FUNCTION![/HEADING]

Seriously, don't blame the game for that.
Sorry to rely on an autosave function that all modern games have. Seriously, I should have to save at the end of every mission in something like ME3 because the game doesn't do it itself, and I don't have to. In Skyrim it saves pretty much every time I enter or exit a building. It can't even do that in Dishonoured. I leave one map and go onto the next, it doesn't save.
Yes, I could pull myself out of the game and go "I should probably save now", but in general I'm trying to immerse myself and enjoy the game rather than constantly have to think of Meta things. A game that forces me to think about Meta things is poorly designed, I shouldn't be thinking about what lies outside the game, only on what lies inside the game. RPGs are a slight exception thanks to building your character being a Meta experience, though that is what the game is based around in that factor.
The only time I'll Quicksave in a game is when the game is buggy and crashes a lot [I.E: Skyrim], or if I need to leave the game for some reason. Even in both these cases I would lose, at most, 15 minutes of progress. I lose everything in Dishonoured. The last game that has done this to me has been Lego Loco, made a good 15 years ago now. If a modern game is following the standards of 15 years ago in an aspect that really has no reason to follow those standards, I think I'm quite fine in being able to say fuck that game.

When I got to the second unconscious segment in the first Max Payne. The one where you have to follow a narrow pathway over a bottomless pit in a poorly lit room as a baby cries constantly in the background. Despite my complete love for the game, it definitely made me say, "FUCK THIS GAME!"

AssCreedBro - Gave up after Chapter 5 or so, haven't been back since. Boring boring boring. ACII was brilliant, the original sucked (gave up on that too) and I don't know how Ubi could've messed it up, but they managed it.

Hitman Absolution - Orphanage, gave up, can't be arsed any more. Everything about the game pretty much sucks and I don't know why I put myself through even part 1 with as much perseverance as I did. Screw you IO and your Kane and Lynching of what should have been an awesome game.

Mirror's Edge - An unmitigated disaster of a game. So bad it's the only game in my memory I've returned to the store to get a refund for sucking so hard. Not even a screw the developer here because that would be to acknowledge this crap.

GTAIV - After I took a woman bowling and to a restaurant and sat in my apartment watching a virtual TV show, I realised that the game simply had no fun left to be had. Screw you Rockstar and your PC policies. Saints Row 3 out GTAs GTA in absolutely every way.

Brink - Couldn't even get it to run after a lot of trying and reinstalls. Screw whoever made such a buggy game that it won't even run.

Metroid Prime.
It's my favorite game of all time, but every time I get a hint and I trek all the way there only for the door to be blocked by whatever and seeing the only viable path to be to go ALL the way around to get to a door on the other side OF THE SAME ROOM...
No.
I'm not doing that.
Not right now.

That's funny, this happened to me yesterday. I was playing Final Fantasy VII and after 15 hours of gameplay and trying to advance the story, I was forced to play idiotic, irrelevant mini-games. I literally said "FUCK THIS GAME", and promptly deleted it from my vita.
The Golden Saucer games, you mean?

After grinding for an hour in Persona 3 and 4's dungeons, you come across any enemy who only uses Hama and Mudo skills, they spam the spells on you and you only. I have the most hardcore rage moments when the spells are successful hits.
Yeah, I remember those. I hate them too. That's why my main character always has a Persona equipped that's immune against those attacks. I just don't dare to take the risk of an instant death.

Far Cry 3. There were some doorways that just did not like me going through them.

Its always the really elementary stuff that gets me. Problems that should not have gotten past playtesting.

I've not really had a 'bother this nonsense' (because profanity is unnecessary) moment with AssCreed III, just doing anything feels like a real grind, much as I love the world, it's literally tripping over itself whenever it makes a step in a direction I like.

Not so much of one of those moments, but I decided to check out Hearts of Iron III once (a demo of it), only recently did I discover that to get into one of those, a little outside research is required.

My first reaction was, "Look at all this stuff! oh, this is all in REAL TIME? I don't *quite* think this is the game for me..."

Chrono Cross:
Feed the dragoons 100 times.

IF you manage it, you get some REALLY good stuff for early characters.

But, it's still HARD-AS-ALL-HEll.

Halo 4.

Was enjoying the game greatly, despite expectations.

The story was fine, the combat was fantastic and the graphics looked nice.

Then I saw The Librarian.

I literally stopped everything, dropped my controller, said "No" one time and walked away.

I have since gotten over it, but seriously. In that moment, fuck that game.

On a completely unrelated side note, I think Vault101 is drunk again.
