Lost Planet 2, CoD: MW2 & 3, Halo 4 multiplayer, Ghost Recon Future Soldier aaaaaaaaaand that's about it.

Those are the games/modes-of-a-game where I've thought/said "You know what? Fuck this game." or "I've given it a chance. In fact, I've given it recurring chances over the past week or two, but wholly and contently - fuck. this. game. I'm not playing it again."

For the most part, I don't play them again. Why should I play something I find excruciatingly not-entertaining? Halo 4's multiplayer, for example, is totally crap. It surprises me how bad they got it considering if they'd just copy-pasted Reach/Halo 3 they'd have been more successful; Cod is practically broken too; and Ghost Recon is trying to be good, but fails miserably by being a 3rd person CoD with an even-more boring and linear story.

Arkham Asylum, Killer Croc's Lair. Fuck that. It's not hard as such, it's just incredibly tedious. Suspenseful for the first few minutes and then just boring and annoying.
And how does it end?
Batman does a flawless "run away" in a cutscene!
Well crap! Why did you let me fall in the water those other times when you arbitrarily changed the major axis of my controls, you annoying game? You could have cutscene-ed that part too!
The part that I just hate is the fight at the bottom of the elevator shaft after disabling the pumps. Too many guys in too small a space. But I don't quit, I just put it away and go back to it for about 20 minutes per day until I get lucky.

Crysis: the fall through the carrier DX10 glitch. If they can't be bothered to actually code the game, why should I play it? No, I don't care that it's almost over. It's an idiotic oversight, and I feel like an ass for enduring the stupid game just for that to happen.

Any game where I can load a save (after about a month away), and have no idea what I should be doing. I don't like it when the game actively reminds me what it wants me to do, but being able to look it up somewhere would be useful. Unfortunately, this caused me to stop playing Saints Row 2 during the opening escape mission. I didn't try the game again for years. But then, many games are guilty of this, I think DOOM 3 was one. I'm pretty sure that it is also why I never got very far in any of the "X: Beyond the Frontier" games. Got bored & left, came back and couldn't remember what I was doing.

Frustration and 'no idea' is always a double-whammy. See also the TC's Splinter Cell games. Oh, I know I'm going to try to get through Red Faction:Guerrilla again someday. But then I'll get very annoyed with the cops swarming me like I just blew up their favorite doughnut shop - and yeah, I guess I did do that. That game should be more fun, but they left in the developer's 'tedium' code.

Planetside2: When I got bored of it. Just kidding, I don't think that can ever happen. Possibly 5 years from now, or whenever SOE totally ruin the game.

Magic the Gathering Duel of the Planeswalkers 2013 planechase... that damn AI knows which cards to draw and I don't care who says they really are random draws.
The times that game has fucked me over... I feel rage just thinking about it.

Whenever I have a steak of bad luck in Halo 4 MP. Especially when I am constantly getting killed by BR users. I mean Jesus those things are stupidly accurate. Even in close range I have trouble killing the bastards. You'd think a weapon like the AR or Storm Rifle would trump the BR in close range but nope. More often than not I'm face down dead.

I guess I don't have those essential twitch reflexes to keep up.
I feel your pain. I miss the days when the Assault Rifle wasn't complete shit, even in its 'butter zone' of close to medium range. Now, I don't mind the DMR, though it can be kind of difficult for me to keep on target. But I absolutely despise the Battle Rifle, the three-round-burst piece of shit. Either go automatic, or semi, you don't need some burst-fire bastard in a game, it just feels unnatural to me.

For me, my fuck-this-game moments definitely come from Halo 4's and Black Ops 2's multiplayer.

All you ever see in Halo 4 now is either a Battle Rifle, or a DMR. That is it. Rarely, you'll see a Light Rifle, or god forbid, a fucking Boltshot. Of course, I'm still of the mindset that only Snipers get to camp without getting bitched about. I usually end up getting dominated in each match, and trying to use an Assault Rifle is just frustrating. Whenever I get killed just before finishing someone off with said Assault Rifle? Fuck that.

And for Black Ops 2? Good luck getting used to sniping very quickly. Now, I'll admit, I bastardize the snipers by usually quick-scoping, but in Call of Duty, that's pretty much the only way they can be used, barring the occasional opportunity to use it properly. I try to do both, but damn if all of the maps I play on have any decent lines of sight, and aren't smaller than some guy's backyard. So, whenever I get a shot off at a guy just before dying, I'll watch the killcam. And whenever it shows that I didn't take said shot on their end? Fuck that too.

Wait, there's a League of Legends group here? HOW DID I MISS THIS?
Yup! Is there an actual user group yet? I may have to make one if so. I could post funny videos and every Siv HD guide. Sounds fun.

[sub]It's AP Rengar, Lion Lane Police![/sub]

What server are you on? Me Rookie and Padwolf play on EU West, alas Padwolf is never around when we are... And when she is she feeds horribly. Like when that Garen built full tank, bought an Infinity Edge then hardcore carried his team. Not saying it's her fault or anything...

[sub]But it totally was >:D[/sub]

I've only ever seen her play Riven though. Maybe she actually has a good Irelia like she claims.

Speaking of Irelia, I once had the Miss Fortune (haha i'm so good) to see an Irelia lose solotop against Leona... God. She wasn't even getting camped at all, Irelia counters Leona in every possible way! Eclipse is completely negated with her true damage and Leona has three stuns, all of which become worthless once Irelia has Merc Treads.

Leona doesn't even have proper damage! Any mega damage you see is her Sunlight passive repeatedly detonating not her actual abilities. You need a teammate to proc any of that so half of her damage is gone straight away.

The joys of solo queue... Maybe she was F2P that week or something. For my sanity I hope that was the case.

The Witcher 2 when nobody told me what sword to use against what.
Nobody told you? The game tells you, mutiple times, that witchers uses silver swords against monsters. Hell, it's even covered before you get the damn sword. How did you not pick up on that?
Don't blame the game when you fail to pay attention.

I've got a few lined up...

Fallout 3 with that alien expansion. FUCK THAT. Here i was, roaming the wasteland with Fawkes, having a good time which must have been so good it traveled back in time to the developers who thought "let's ruin this smug bastard's fun" and teleported me a spaceship where every fucking bony-ass alien seem to be made out of kevlar. Fuck that somewhere sore.

Next up, Mass Effect 2. I loved the first one, the atmosphere, the design, the combat and the exploration with shopping-trolley-helium-wheely-bangarang-tanky fun. The second? Boring ass cover mechanics, boring upgrade system, the world became WAY too grim and dark and the worst part was the exploration was non-existant. I really missed my bouncy castle of death.

Hmm, do i have a third Fuck this from a non fuck this game?

Yes i do, the Havanna level i Kane and Lynch was a real *****. That helicopter was not fun to fight, too fuckin hard to fight and basicly stopped me from finishing the gam on Morphine(hard). I think i actually said fuck this game playing it.

many, many moments in the CoD franchise when playing on Veteran. that crap is so unfair that it is largely based on luck.

The world's hardest (and longest) quicktime event(s): the torture scene in MGS: Peace Walker. I managed to do it the first time, then I died 30 seconds later in the next scene. The damn thing didn't save after the QTE. My hand was too tired to do it again and after a few attempts that game got the finger, and I refuse to ever play it again.

Also, every game that shares the "get behind cover" key/button with the run key/button inevitably leads to a bunch of these moments, because they didn't think I might want to run in and out of cover.

And we can never forget the final boss in Silent Hill 3. The entire game is perfectly balanced to play on "hard" difficulty, and then the final boss fucks everything up. I found a trainer online to give me god mode and infinite ammo, and it still took 10-15 minutes to kill that bastard.

Super Meatboy because some of its levels are designed without considering human stamina or reflexes. Heck most of them are. Never finished it.

Natural Selection 2
When the marines just throw a absurd amount of arcs into the alien hives, and even behind walls they will shoot some magical ghost bullets that go through it, destroying the entire hive within 2 or 3 shots, or when the aliens all evolve into onos.. onoses.. oni and just charge into marine spawns.

Just no way to stop any of those, once they get the resources to do it then its game over.

I tried it and almost immediately stopped playing it (and returned to X3)
Why?
Because difficulty skyrockets and even with best equipment you get killed almost immediately
Seriously- enemies with equipment equal to yours or worse can sustain and inflict much more damage than you
I suspect that AI was cheating (and I don't like it)

Any bug that screws up a mission/objective is liable to make me say "Fuck this game" and stop me playing it for a day or two.

XCom when the enemy gets a bullshit critical on a target they should have difficulty hitting anyway.

Games where I get screwed over by terrible controls and have to redo something. Ico is a good example of this.

Halo 4 Legendary difficulty on solo, purely because of bullshit checkpoints. You could play for 20 minutes and not get one, replay it and get two in the space of 5 minutes.

Games that destroy saved games. Dragon Age 2, Fallout New Vegas and Batman Arkham Asylum all had this issue. All three of them I went back to and beat eventually, but the games weren't as enjoyable because of it.

I have never beaten GTA: San Andreas because I got to a mission that required me having $50,000 to buy something, and you couldn't proceed without it. So I stopped playing.

Shadow of the Colossus. Played it for the first time a few weeks ago. Goddamn that camera is impossible to control.

Finally managed to shoot an arrow at the first colossus' foot and it's health bar decreased by about 0.005%. Fuck that game.
That's because it is set to invert by default, although seeing as it claims up for up and left for left is invert. You go into the pause menu and make the camera change to normal (for Western games) and it's no longer an issue.

The bow is not meant for killing them. It's meant for getting their attention, hitting weak spots to get them to react in certain ways, killing lizards and getting fruit from trees. The sword is the only way to kill them.

In other words: You played the game wrong.

Assassins Creed 3, the last mission. Not that I didn't finish it without the optional objectives, but it was kinda lame, stupid, anti-climactic for a last mission.

Mirror's Edge - An unmitigated disaster of a game. So bad it's the only game in my memory I've returned to the store to get a refund for sucking so hard. Not even a screw the developer here because that would be to acknowledge this crap.
Heh, for me it's the complete opposite. I thought the game was awesome. It had a few (minor) flaws, but those never bothered me.

- People keep (mis)jumping to their deaths? I've played the game on hard without runner's vision and I never fell much.
- Combat system is broken? Maybe, but I see it more as an obstacle parcourse, not so much as combat. I also never did fire a gun (except for the sniper mission). It didn't seem to fit with the whole idea of the game.

Those two complaints I hear the most. Maybe it's different for you though.

You wheren't using countermeasures/keeping full stacks of Nanobots/Shield Batteries at all times. It's definately beatable. Hell i'd say X3 is actually harder.
You mean spamming Nanobots/Shield Batteries all the time? did it
Countermeasures? Not as often as I should, but also did it.
Nothing of that helped, and that was the easiest difficulty, dammit.
Was the story any good?

X3 is hard when you fight on your own
BUT
You can build your own combat fleet and drop it on enemy
While your characters sits in his dreadnaught, observes battle and sips wine from oversized diamond glass >:D
