K, this might sound a little dumb because it may seem hypocritical to be calling out other people for being nerds while I myself am posting on a video game board, but has anyone browsed the TOR forums?
I mean, make no mistake about it, I'm a geek too, but Star Wars fanbois take the geekiness to a whole new level of geekdom. I actually browse their forums because I'm interested in the game and can't wait to play it when it launches. But I really only go there for gameplay info and to discuss topics pertaining to game systems and mechanics and such.
Yet, most of the threads are about different lightsaber colors, who the Emperor is, and if Revan could defeat Darth Vader in a duel. With people speaking in character and some referring to themselves in the third person.
I've also been looking in their guild section to check and see if there might be one that's a good fit for me. And most of the guilds, particularly on the Republic side, are overwhelmingly RP. I dunno, man. Usually I don't care about stuff like this, but the TOR forums seem to be a bit much.
Anyone else notice this, or is it just me?
