This is my first attempt at running an Rp, but we all have to start somewhere.

I?m looking for about 5-6 people and a CO-GM (preferable from separate time zone).
The CO-GM will be the Main Character, I will operate the npc's and they will advise me.

It is the Year of the Monkey; there are tails of new technology coming from the south, in the land of Savage Tribes, Great Kings and Dangerous Jungles. To get there you must cross the great salt planes, miles and miles of wasteland with no water, no life and no hope.
You are aboard the great airship Skyfire, its flame red envelope well known for transporting passengers to far away and lost places. Things though are not as well as they seem...


1. No god moding,
2. No mary sues,
3. No trench coating,
4. No Character Control (unless permitted).

I will add to this as we go along.
The Skyfire has three decks, Top, Main and Lower.
The cabins are on the lower and main, and are located below the Balloon the Top is the area atop the Ballon, acess is by a central stairwell.
The engines are to the sides accessed form the lower deck. The cargo bay is also on the lower deck. There are guards on both.

Name: (fantasy names are good but preferably something which can be shortened)

Age: (pretty simple)

Appearance: (I will allow non-humans within reason. Stick to the Anthropomorphic please)

Weaponry: (Swords and such like. Guns will be of the swashbuckling style.)

Equipment: (you will be planning for a trip to the jungle so appropriate clothing and equipment please.)

Bio: (Your Characters reason to be travelling to the south, things they have done, Ect. I would like about 2 Paragraphs, don?t go overboard please.)

Notes: (Anything that could not be added before)

Name: Wilhelm Van Oudkerk

Age: 34

Appearance: An average sized man with a thoughtful countenance, several small scars occasionally marking his otherwise unremarkable face. He has his dark hair slicked back over his head, frequently hidden for the most part by his old brown militia beret. He usually just wears leather boots, some dark pants, a loose shirt and a battered looking brown coat.

Weaponry: An ornate looking musket, most likely originally intended for hunting, well polished as though its keeping is a matter of pride to the owner. At the end is a menacing looking bayonet, allowing the gun to be used as a small spear if need be.
Wilhelm also carries a knife strapped to the side of his right boot, but this is placed for more decorative reasons, or possibly just to give off an intimidating appearance as opposed to being used as an actual weapon.

Equipment: He seems to have taken basic camping equipment, along with a scratched monocular and a cage full of small birds - Not out of personal attachment to the animals, but so he can find out which of the jungle's herbs and plants are poisonous.

Bio: Wilhelm had a fairly poor upbringing on a farm, getting most of his food through the hunting skills his father taught him. Reaching adulthood after an adolescence of less than cordial relations with the authorities, he decided to join the militia to make an easy living after being rejected from an army regiment due to a lack of martial skill.

From that day on he practiced whenever he could, finding the militia work boring and the discipline irritating. A natural adrenaline junkie, he took his equipment, saved up his money and headed south as soon as he could, planning on selling his services as personal security once there.
Name: Kaine Kolta

Age: 21

Appearance: Kaine is average hight, with light blue eyes, medium length dark brown hair, and wears a dirty white poets shirt, loose brown pants, a coat ( http://media.photobucket.com/image/long%20pirate%20coat/LizzieBennet_photos/Pirate%20Costumes/PirateCostumes011-1.jpg ), a dark brown hooded cloak when needed and soft knee high leather boots.

Weaponry: A quarterstaff and a high pound long bow

Equipment: Kaine carries long life food : his dice and cups : some spare coins : arrows : bedding : a whet stone : working knife : eating utensils

Bio: Kaine was born on an average farm to average parents, he worked in the fields, he looked after the sheep, went hunting and worked hard for his supper but he was always more interested in the stories his uncle told of great cities and strange distant lands. When Kaine was ten his uncle started to teach him how to use a quaterstaff an on his 21st birth day Kaine's uncle bought him passage on the airship Skyfire
Name: Felicity Kornan

Age: 19

Appearance:bandana with goggles, white shirt and brown vest, brown pants and black boots

Weaponry: two flintlock pistols

Equipment: machete, backpack w/ food and compass.

Bio: Felicity was born into great wealth, and was marry the man of her dreams. Until her sister murdered her fiance and framed Felicity. She took what money she had with her (which was still a decent sum) and purchased to pistols and a disguise. Now she is on the run. She hopes she can find a new life in the South.
Name: Rickter (shortens to Rick) Blanche
Age: 27
Appearance: Rickter is rather short, about 5'5", with a set of fragile tin bifocles that he has trouble seeing without (he can manage at most five feet ahead of him). He has pale green eyes and a shaved head of black hair. He's taken the time to buy an "adventure outfit, as he calls it: brown suit pants hemmed up to his knees, a crisp new white shirt (with a peculiarly small black bowtie) and a brown tweed jacket, cut to his elbows. He sports a pair of solid mountaineering shoes and a large backpack that causes him to hunch over.
Weaponry: Nothing but a walking stick and a small knife meant for aquiring samples.
Equipment: A large pack filled with the usual equipment for this sort of expedition, compass, first aid pack, etc., as well as a good deal of scientific equipment, small vials of chemicals kept in padded boxes, utensils for dissecting plant and animal samples, even a fold away microscope.
Bio: Rickter was raised in an orphanage untilo he was eight, then adopted by Professor Magnus B;anche, famous for his work with taxonomy, his discoveries in botany, and for being stuffy as anybody could be. Rickter was taught to read out of a biology textbook, and about the facts of life from one of Magnus' nature tapes, and soon found that he was as dull as the man who'd become his father.
And so, after Magnus' passing, Rickter decided it was time for change. He spoke with his employer who agreed not only to let Rickter take time off (after 13 years without even a sick day) but also to fund his trip, hoping that any discoveries of Rickter's would bring them fame. He's looking forward to the first adventure he's ever taken, hopefully not his last.
Name: Jonathan Shannow

Age: 54

Appearance: An old man who is starting to feel ages pull. However, his build tells of a powerful physique in the past, and his walk is graceful and confident.
His hair was dark, but now mostly grey, and while his face is furrowed with age, he still has a certain handsomeness sourcing from his personality

Weaponry: A short stave on which is a religious symbol. It is made3 of oak, but both the symbol and the tip and weighted with lead, giving it bone breaking force. He also carries an censer on a chain. This too is made of lead, and then chain of steel, making it too a dangerous surprise when swung. it has a reach of up to four feet

Equipment: Jon wears sombre clothes built more for practicality than style. He has trousers, a shirt, and a trenchcoat long coat. In the lining of the long coat is sewn strips of metal; they add to the weight but would likely turn aside a bladed weapon (at least on the first hit)

Bio: Jon claims to be a wandering preist, taking his message wherever he goes. Thus is his reason for travelling. He refuses to say very much more, and is uncommunicative unless preaching, when his face lights up and he is inspirational. Any conversation with him is difficult, as he will redirect any line o conversation either toward the other speaker or too his God.

Notes: This man is mad, and also possibly religious. Be careful =P

Start

The sun rose over the plains of salt, the wasteland bare and lifeless. For miles and miles there is nothing to be seen but, flying with speed and purpose the airship Skyfire roars towards the horison.
The passengers are on the main deck being adressed by the captain.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are in the first of six days of our voyage. I am told that the ballroom is open, and should you so wish the top deck is safe to explore. There have been reports that a banging has been heard from the cargo bay, and I apologish for any inconvienience that may have caused last night. It is normal for the cargo to move around during flight but my men have assured me that the offending article has been secured. Thankyou for your patience and good day."

Feel free to explore, you can invent NPCs if you want, I will control them for you, i.e. other passengers, barmen, e.t.c.

Felicity looked up at the intercom that had just finished it message. "Wonder what they meant by cargo? Most boxes I know don't put up a fight." She simply shrugged and started up the stairs to the top deck.

Kaine stifled a yawn as the captain finished. He had traveled all night to reach the airship before it took off and he had not yet caught up on it. Turning to go down to his cabbin he saw several sailors playing a game of dice and feeling how light his money pouch was he decided to give it a go; he has always had good luck when it came to dice. Walking over trying to look as much as a green country bumpkin as he could he ask "Would there be a place at this game for me?" jingling his pouch.

I presume you will be controling the NPCs host?
