IDK if this has been posted anywhere, but im wondering even with all this innovation these days what are the big 3 companies still doing wrong?
I heard of a guy suing Microsoft for 50k cause it scratched his game disk and they released files that showed that Microsoft knew that the 360 scratched discs and that they could fix it.
Pretty much what im saying is that without getting destructive or fan boyish what are the problems with the systems today?
Edit:
Also you can add what they can possibly fix to make them better?

I'm not quite sure how to answer that, but I think you also might be asking the wrong question.

EDIT: But I don't think it's too high a price for too few features as most console consumers don't really care about features. PC gamers are really the only gamers to know the differences when it comes to features.

I'm a converted PC and PS/PS2 gamer, and I've moved over to the 360. I don't really have time to keep up with gaming, and the 360 fit the bill perfectly for me. I suppose they aren't top of the line, but for me, it's all I need.

If I had the time and money, I'd totally go back to PC gaming, but alas, I stuck in my current situation.

Too big a price for too little features and quality.
Your joking, right? DO you know how much cash you would have to spend to get a PC with the game playing power of a PS3 or a 360? Because that is what we are really are really talking about here, playing games. Around $800-1,000. So what gives you the most game playing bang for our dollars? It is not a PC I can tell you this much.

Surely the fact that both PS3 and X360 sell at a loss would indicate they are in fact value for money?

The trouble with consoles is that online gameplay is centred around America, I want to play on line but get yelled out of the room by a bunch of Americans because my connection is so much worse than theirs and I can't choose to go to an Australian server. Though to be fair part of the problem is Kevin 747 who still hasn't given nation wide broadband and is lagging us further with his censor.

I like my 360...
just let me be happy with my games solely on one thing, and then have another thing with alot of other capablities, and only a few games, and game types.

In this generation I haven't seen hide nor hair of anything remotely worth spending my hard earned money on. There's only a handful of games I want to play on the Wii and the 360. And with the PS3 it's quite obvious that next year will be the year, luckily I got mine in time to enjoy Resistance 2 and LBP.

More games that appeal to me. Chreaper wireless networking adapters and other add-ons.

Except fo RTSes - there are some things that should never leave the PC.
They've made maybe one decent RTS on the 360; Endwar. It's the one with the voice commands, I've only gotten to play it for a few days, but for a console RTS it's pretty good. Admittedly it doesn't hold much of a candle to warcraft3 my favorite RTS when I still played on my computer more than my console.

Originally, I believe, but now, the Xbox 360 sells at a profit (very marginal though; most of the money Microsoft, and Sony for that matter, get are from the software).

As for problems... hmm, well, has Microsoft fixed their consoles disk scratching yet?

No issues with the PS3 like that.
Except for the recent ever growing rate of failing blu-ray drives.

But sony will do the same as they did with the ps2 and deny any liability.

I still like my PS3 but it's not infallable.

At least the PS3 has a warranty. Sony had to get taken to court for the PS2 to get that luxury.

My only problem with consoles is that they take away too much space. I have a 360, a Wii and a PS3 hooked up to my tv right now and with all the cables and extensions my living room looks like a mad scientists laboratory :)

Except that when you buy a new console in a few years, you lose the ability to play the majority to play most of your old games. PC gamers can still enjoy their old favourites.#

That warranty is a joke in itself. Do you realise that one of the clauses is that if too much dust accumulates in the machine that the warranty is void? And how much air passes through that thing as well? You'd need to keep it in a sterile environment to keep it free of dust. Next is the fact that plugging it into a surge protected socket voids the warranty because Sony doesn't 'support' third party appliances. If you get a power surge or lightning strike, those both count as acts of god and not covered by the warranty. Sony's concern for their customers is the epitome of oxymorons.
