Then do what alot of the rest of the world does, report the local to event figure first then add the local to site figure afterwards. Or even the otherway round.

While they're at it, maybe they should report the amount in Australian dollars, and Euros, and Pounds, and Yen, and... I'm out of currency. If you're that curious, in about ten seconds you can google it. I realise this is a British show, I'm not sure why that matters at all.
OT: I've been waiting for something as awesome as this to be built for a long time. We've had the tech for a while, just needed someone willing to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars. Now I wait for the days this comes to an arcade somewhere.

When someone says something cost 650,000, be in Euro, Pounds (unless you use Yen then it's only a few thousand dollars) 650,000 of anything is expensive. Does a gaming website really need to hold everyone hand while they try to wrap their head around the concept of a different form of currency?

If I had the money to buy something like that, I can't help but think I'd be beyond video games for entertainment.

It looks a bit silly, really. Maybe I just don't "get" it, but I really can't see any appeal, especially at the cost and effort required.
