Have you ever had a game that you just played out over and over again?

Post 'em here and don't forget to say what made you go through it so many times.

Oh, obviously, it can only be games with an actual 'end' that can be reached, so no MMORPG's or games à la the original Tetris.

Spyro: Getaway To Glimmer (PSOne)

My first console, my first game. It also remained my only game for almost a year! Which is probable a first reason why I played it out so much. That, and it was simply a good game at the time: decent graphics, enjoyable platforming, lovely fantasy atmosphere AND music by Stewart Copeland. Played it out about 12 times I guess. I still pop it in every once in a while, mostly for nostalgia's sake.

I've lost count of the amount of times I've completed it.

And they still won't let me skip the cutscenes.

Jak and Daxter, I've beaten that game sooo many times. I've beaten the other games in that series a few times as well, but not to the same extent...

I just beat sometimes for fun, because it only takes a few hours (three-four) to get 101%. Yes, you heard me... 101%.

I've been playing that regularly for twelve years now, sooner or later I'm going to get a score above 2000, I've been pushing the 1900's for too damn long!

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I lost count already.

Jade Empire. Fuck, at this point any Bioware games.

Tales of Symphonia. There was a playthrough count on the game record, and the last time I saw it, I beat it nine times(Eat your heart out, Ferris.). The only reasons I can think of for beating it so many times were:
1. I liked playing it, and
2. I didn't have many other games that were as good.

The legacy of Kain series, yes the whole effing thing, its such a good story. I think thats the reason I finish games again and again, its always the story I love, its like watching a really good movie, or in the case of this series reading a really good book. I would even liken it to epics such as Illiad or Aeneid.

Also in the same movieish vein The first MGS for PSX.

KOTOR FTW, but that might just be Bastilas sexy voice that keeps me cuming back for more, rawr.
