Microwave oven.
That, or electro magnets.
Everyone is saying EMP, but that's not exactly an easy thing to make or get.
But an electro magnet? Gimme a battery, some nails, and some copper wire. BAAM! Magnet.

EMP wouldn't work because if we can shield ourselves from it today,by the time machines rise to power, they won't have anything to fear from it.

However, just like human soldiers, machines will have some type of leader and communication network to link the soldiers and the leader.
Sever the link and the soldiers won't know where to go/what to do next, and the leader will not have any feedback on his soldiers.

If all else fails, call John Connors.

This is the only answer, anything else just involves alot of us being killed.

Or just build them with an off switch in the first place

Why would we need perfect clones when all we would need to use is an EMP blast?

As pretty much everyone else said, a fucking EMP. That or actually nuke the bastards.

I dunno, I'd say John Petrucci'd do the trick, I seem to remember him being able to destroy the world.

We have to use clones. Damn. I was rather looking forward to the rampant sex involved in creating a massive army. Perhaps we could just plan 20 years ahead and train the kids?

What if they have paradox-absorbing crumple zones? That sure didn't work on Robot Santa.

Does anyone know how to generate an EMP without a nuclear explosion? It's a fabby-doo sci-fi weapon but I'm sure there are some serious engineering issues to be solved before we start handing out hand-held versions.

Me? I'd use Scraplets. [http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Scraplet]

I'm a pretty little flower. Like a prom date, maybe?
Enjoy the silence. Are you for supper?
Turtles. Now let's go dream about little breaded chicken fingers.

I've SEEN it work. I'm prepared for the cybernetic uprising.

Emp, but one that had infinite charge and didn't break its self.
